help me please

2 things wrong for some reason that wont work....
 
When i run updater it goes threw then a window apears that sais command.com and it freezes there and wont go anyfurther and when i try to close it, it freezes and i have to relog into my computer...why??

I cant use shift key in the login screen or ctrl+alt either and i do have a planeshift.cfg but its an archive and i cant open it to make the 2 a @ how do i fix it so i can play this awsome looking game?

I had the exact same problem. But editing planeshift.cfg worked fine for me. How are u trying to open it?

I am opening it by double clicking on it..is that the wrong way is there a program that will open it for me?

Right Click open as, then use Notepad
or
open note pad, then drag the file onto it ^_^

AWSOME thx it help and now i get an error after creating char and it tryes to load but i have seen somewere in the forum about it so thx for your help :)
