I\'m sort of at a total loss here.
My adventure with PS started out with version 0.3.005 installer. This installation went quick and without errors.
Starting the PS client for the first time resulted in some mousecursor-glitches and a somewhat hard to read font. No biggie, the game said to update, so I did. When I run the updater for the 1st time, it got stuck on updating the updater itself. (With an empty DOS screen open and file progress bar at 100%) It kept doing that when I retried a few times.
Then it seemed like it had downloaded the program in a ZIP, so I tried manually extracting that and started the new updater. My guess was right, as it now displayed the correct version number and started to download the normal updates. This was interrupted several times with the same error. (Open DOS window at 100% complete for that specific part)
After killing the processes and restarting the updater again, it seemed to go on at where it\'d left off, so I assumed all was well when it refused to update anymore and I started up the client again.
The PS-Client accepted my version of the game, I created a character and somehow during that (about 30 min) it gave an error that it had lost connection to the server and CTD-ed on me. After restarting the client again and rebuilding the character as good as I remembered, I clicked upload and froze on the loading world screen.
So far I\'ve tried running the game windowed and without sound but it always stops there. Sometimes (seemingly random) the PS-client also gives a black screen on starting, killing it and restarting right away works most of the time. I tried running the setup program again (I\'ve ran it once before update) and since the update process it won\'t run anymore and gives an illegal operation error.

So far I\'ve gotten 1 prompt to make a dump file, which gave an error when I agreed. Error: Unable to create ****.dmp or something similar. (sorry, I forgot to write down the error message)
I\'ve still found one dump file in the PS directory but since it\'s 0 bytes and empty, I doubt it will be of use.

Anything I can try to make it work?
If there is a way to make it churn out error dump files again, I would gladly post that as well.
This is the first open source program I\'ve ever tried. I don\'t exactly know what I can do to help or who to turn to when something doesn\'t work.
