You need to use the CS exporter for max.  There are links to the exporter as well as the manual to use the exporter in the guide to contributing sticky.

Actually, I\'m not sure if that link has the most recent version of the 3DsMax to CS exporter + Guide.

To get the newest version of the exporter, you need to download the latest source for CS.

(Do not worry, you do not have to know anything about compiling C++)

Download from Here (Updated Daily): http://crystal.sourceforge.net/cvs-snapshots/bzip2/cs-current-snapshot.tar.bz2
(Link from download section of CS Website here:
http://crystal.sourceforge.net/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Download)

After downloading & extracting the CS Source (WinRAR works fine for this) you should find the latest 3DsMax to CS exporter & Guide in the scripts\\max folder of the CS source.

1 More thing about installing the 3DsMax2cs exporter is that you need to put the \"sanitycheck\" script in the 3DsMax\\scripts\\ folder instead of the 3DsMax\\UI\\MacroScripts\\ folder like it says in the guide which was made I\'m guessing before we had \"sanitycheck\".

Also, if you want to test your levels, you will ether need to figure out how to compile CS on your own, (ask around on #CrystalSpace on Irc.Freenode.net) or you need someone to give you an already compiled version of Crystal Space.
I can compile CS on windows & will most likely be making a simple guide when I have the time.

Also, if you need a pre-compiled Win32 Binaries for Crystal Space, I can sometimes be found on #Planeshift on Irc.Freenode.net & if you ask, I can try to DCC it to you. since the compiled version is about 52MB I cannot find a free host were I can upload it & I do not always have my computer running 24/7, but I do have a Cable Internet so it shouldn\'t be to slow.  I am going to talk to orogor to see if he can host a compiled version for everyone.

Anyway, if you have a compiled version of CS to test a level name it \"world.\" & export it to the CS\\Data\\flarge so if you unzipped CS in the C:\\CS you will need to type the file name as \"C:\\CS\\Data\\flarge\\world\". Then copy the texture into the same folder & then run walktest.exe in the CS directory.
(note: if you check \"Copy textures to destination\" the exporter copies them to a sub-folder called \"Textures\" & they will not show up in walktest, you need to manually move them to the same folder as the \"World.\" file.)
