OOC: Yeah I hope we continue on forever and ever :) It would really be good if I could get a hold of BoldStorm who does all the website work/forum work. Kind of worried something might have happened he said he would be back on the 25 or so on his last post and its not like him to disappear so long without msn being on or anything...Hope nothing bad happened

What is the difference between you and a fanatic evil guild?

This shall not mean that there is no difference but I am curious how you answer it

I think its rather obvious ^^ We eliminate the evil and a fanatic evil guild would be eliminating everything probally. Also we do safeguard the innocent if ever called upon..most people don\'t realize that either. Really you can title us whatever you want but do you think that is going to stop us from continuing what we are doing?

OOC - So basically you are Crusaders.  We kill whatever, whomever, and whenever.  Atleast any deemed \"bad\".  Sounds like a sure fire way to weed out evil.  Good luck.

It does not seem that there is a difference between fanatical guilds who are good or evil: you are both still killers.  In the end it will be the good fanatical guild who kill more.  

IC - If I see you carrying out \"Gods will\" I will send strait to the depths of hell.  You can spend eternity with the people you have killed.

No, No depthblade this shouldnt be offence i dont have any doubt that you are good, I was just (as I said above) curious how you describe it.

And that you defend the innocent is more than clear cause you are fighting evil which threats them.

And no i dont want to stop you, cause you are one of the few guilds which tries to reach their goals, but dont act against the Kodex you made, one of those guild that is just about RPing.

I didnt ever titled you evil and if you read my thread whole (Not only to the question) I was just corious in what way you answer it.

Well and it isnt so obvious, You theoretical could have answered by just saying \"We fight against evil\", which would be no difference (Evil fights good, so we had each fights each other :P)

Well it is not true that a fanatic evil guild would eliminate everything, they could preffer corporal torture, slavery, prostituation, dishounuiring, and last but not least psychical torture (For example killing a man in a cruel way before his wife and his little daughter).  But i got your point.

And another Question:

Let us think you have nearly succeded. You have nearly  rooted out evil and are attacking their last bastion. As a last and very nasty trick they send innocent people, who have been captured out of their homes, with defect weapons against you. You know that they don\'t stand a chance. Will you stop the siege to save their lives and risk that evil can regenerate, or do repeat your fail (Well it wasnt your fault but you were there when it happened) in the past?

Aheem, well they don\'t carry out \"Gods will\" as you call it. They are just fanatically trying to purge the world of evil. And they dont believe in any god AFAIK.

I dont know how the  people of Yliakum believe in Afterlive, but I am sure it isnt our Heavn/Hell Ideology

Yes yes now some of you begin to understand ^^ Meri the answer to your last question..you see we work in rank and have certain people for certain jobs and now we also are coming to a point where we have a splinter type group being added in that could possible handle such delimeas (mispelled) By all means saving those people would be done before we continue on with whatever offensive we had in the first place.

The fundamental flaw here is unless someone says \"You, the purging guys, I am evil, now purge me!\", you have to judge evil by a set of standards that are different with all people.  With your crusader example do you think either side thought that they themselves were evil?  No, they both thought they for fighting for what was right.

Now this guild would never work in any real setting only fictional were people make characters who they choose to be \'evil\'.  They would have to go by a set of things that constists of what evil is.

I for one might think it evil for someone to go around killing who ever they might think was not their interpretation of good.

OOC: Nice going on the organisation of the guild, though I dont agree with it, it might liven up things some ;)

Well Kwip I am one who is very picky with good and evil and I thought much about it and came to the decisions that there are some standards, which !MOST! people will agree with.

Some for the evil ones are: torturing (In any way), killing without reason, stealing for fun or  from poor people of, slavery, any other way of tighen the independence of a certain individuum without a reason, willingly causing an catastrophal event + Helping an evil cause for profit.

Some standards for the good are: killing to protect the innocent, stealing from the wealthy and giving to poor (Robin Hood), help without any hope of getting something in return, sacrificing your life to save another individuum from a catastrophal event.

So from this standards (Most will agree, some not) you can pretty well decide what evil and good is, and I know that i have surely forgotten one point and apologise for it.

The answer you gave indicates that you are good.

Now the same problem with another background:
The fight against evil stands at the edge of a knife, as you storm against one of the evils Bastions, If you dont win this battle fast enough their troops will be well trained enough to smash you through outnumbering. As a nasty strategy they use innocent man, women and children as a shield, you know that you will be devoured if you wait any longer. Do you sacrifice the lifes of these people and repeat the faults of the pasts, or do you spare them and lead your cause to distinction?

And another problem:
The deciding battle is at hand, but trough the travels and wars you and your equipment got worn. You know that you only have a little chance against the evil forces, with worn out equipment. The only resource of weapons comes from an manufactur were children produce them under drastic  conditions (Attacking it is not possible cause the leader of the manufactur would instantly destroy the weapons). You know that the owner of it will use the money to buy more slaves. What do you do?

If I am allowed to I give you the advice to post them on your forum and look how your members response.

OOC - Good and Evil, how black and white.  There are no such things.  Just grey.  Depending on the situation that is.  Some people may do bad things some may do good but no one is always bad or always good.  

Truthfully I do not like the terms good and evil.  You cannot have one without the other.  If there is good you have evil and if there is evil you must have good.  I would rather things stay grey.
