Edhelgarth : the Yanna?h's survivors

------------------------------------------------
Our History
------------------------------------------------

Dermorians were in a time of great wandering.  They lived out their existence within the basements of Yliakum, thus they forged a nyctalopie with any test. Then, arrived at surface, the people were divided into several groups. There were tears there... decisions to take... Some stayed in the city of Yliakum while some others went back to live in the underground, and finally, others left to form their own kingdom. Yanna?h was one such as these; it was prosperous and was classed as a model of democracy, it attracted people of all races through its reputation: Kran, diaboli, enkidukai, Lemurs and so many others... They all aspired for it to become the perfect society. Through many years they lived, striving to reach perfection. Then time was arranged to transform this goodwill into disproportionate pride. \"In Yanna?h we believed ourselves to be out of danger or threat from anyone. We defended our walls and lands and only fought through necessity. Our army has never encountered real resistance when we defended our city. We are peaceful and rarely left the enclosure of the city...\". The lack of dialogue with the outside, and more generally, their pride attracted the wrath of their neighbours, too jealous for some of them, too quarrelsome for others. But against any waiting the threat did not come from a nearby kingdom...

Orcs. These animals whose chaotic organization and intelligence had been considered to be too weak to be a threat invaded Yanna?h in only a few hours. Yanna?h was betrayed: somebody opened the doors from inside and the massacre started. These beasts were not regular Orcs: they could fight with a perfect organisation; they were formed with our own battle techniques. They turned the city into fire and blood...

Today, the bravery the soldiers showed is still unqualifiable. They sacrificed their lives to evacuate the surrounded citizens. Many fought to directly protect the group of survivors, others went in each house, each cattle shed, each attic, each graver... hoping they would be able to save maybe only one life with the danger of losting theirs. Each soldier who returned to protect and show the way to the litle number of remaining survivors did not return... They knew it while going there. The combat was unequal at a rate of one against ten, one against twenty perhaps. They had only one idea in their head: to save the most possible lives before losing theirs and this without distinction of race.

The king and the Generals were the first targets of these kind of Orcs. The royal family was decimated althought the king fought as a berserk to protect it - but it was a lost cause... except for the youngest of his son, MornGlawar, the one whose prophecy had told a future unceasingly shared between the dark and the light ways, the one who scared people because of this prophecy.

He was saved, against all odds, by an Orc, more exactly the first General of the Orc army, Perk. For this strange choice, Perk was banished and he raised the prince as a hermit. Thus the prince was divided between his elfic culture and his orc culture. Prophecy is achieved.

Some soldiers still alive protected the people and led them out of all dangers. There were nothing more to see in Yanna?h; it was no more palace, no more resource, no more books except those which were saved by the monks also saved with the danger of their own life. Ah! our good monks, thanks to them and thanks to all our soldiers who died in that mud pit...

Perk died. He was old and Orcs are not immortal! Mornglawar continued his life of hermit from his sixteenth year since his twentieth year of age he arrived at Yliakum. A little later he felt a strange feeling... Somebody wanted that he went back to Yanna?h. He went back and in only a few weeks found miraculously directly the lost city. The things changed there: adventurers continue to die on this ground become arid. Corpses are laying on the ground, are hung in the trees, weapons stand on the ground. And strange Dermorians walk with livid eyes right in front of them. These Dermorians died, killed by the second tragedy which touched the people Dermorian of Yanna?h. But they continued to walk like Zombies.

Elves are special : their feelings are strong, too extremely strong. After this night, Dermorians started to cry for their death people. Some died because of it. People buried them in Yanna?h when peace had returned by respect for their suffering. A few years later, a strange music arrived at their ears. In the heart of the lost city, the dead people woke up.

The young prince, deafened by what he saw, lost the combat when he was attacked by a monster but a travelling Wizard, called Eden, resurrected him. Then, he learned that he was not the only survivor of the catastrophe and even that his people awaited a leader, nobody wanting to take the place of the king. Thus Mornglawar joined us. Nobody expected his arrival, for us he was dead! He would have been sought if we had been aware he was alive! Although he was still quite young his crowning was accepted.

Mornglawar says he wants to resurrect our city. Yanna?h died but Edhelgarth was born according to a principle: never that again...

I am still quite young. I do not remember what had occurred that night, or who was lost there - I was only a child - but I make a point of saying a last thing: O soldiers of the olden days, we will cry forever for your so bold deaths... so suicidal too. But be quiet: you achieved your mission; you can rest in peace...

Glory to Edhelgarth!!!

There was a day which stays in the memory of a lot of people from Yliakum.

The Dissident is no more a Dermorians. His face became a horror\'s one: we can read the suffering on the lines of his face. He is very taller than before: more than 2meters tall. He required no weapon. He just walked: angry in one of his fists, fury in his eyes, he left Yannaeh\'s ruins calling the Deaths back to life. Between each calls we heard insults and murdering promises. Each steps, some deaths resurrected.

The reactions of the people they met were various : some didn\'t move, some ran away, some prayed, ... and the Deaths kept walking in front of them as if they didn\'t exist.

Finally they enterred Yliakum and were more than ten thousand dead-alive fighters ready to kill. Soldier in Yliakum were astonished and so affraid... in fact they just wait hoping nothing would happened...

The Dissident fund the entrance to the Laanx\'s dungeon and the Deaths followed.

Nobody knows what happened but some people saw the Dissident going outside deeply injured. And some rumours said Laanx was injured too. A lot of Lemurs died in that battle and no Deaths went outside.

-----------------------------------------------------------
PS : I never said Edhelgarth will always be a guild for french people :-D but I want to be sure everything is ok before adding difficulties.

Ive a bad new to teach you: Edhelgarth isnt alive anymore.

thanks to the guild system of today I prefer disband the guild because:
1) I have anything else to do but to run after the newbees to earn members
2) My guildmembers are unreachable because of the holidays
3) i must pay 20000trias to create my guild for THE 4th TIMES
4) others guild wipes are \"coming soon\"
5) good members are rare because the most of the newbees are boring 2 days after their registration because they find the game isnt big enough
6) I work a lot to create a good website (I know my host isnt reachable for now but its a friend who is trying to compile his amd 64 under gentoo and it would have been reachable soon), I worked on rping stories in french, each times someone thought a guild wipe would be the solution I was forced to find the \"10 required members\" even if I didnt have the time to come everyday and spend 5 or 6 hours to \"play\" ps, I tried to create some web projects for ps (but there is a lot of work to keep on doing), I am moderating ps french forum and tried to participate to this forum...

and now I feel very desappointed when i understand I have worked and must keep on working for nothing. it\'s like there were no respect for my work and I prefer going away from the guild business for now instead of sseing my words becoming censured by your beautiful forum censor.

This game is for english only...

It is terrible to hear that fken.  But I have to ask, just disbanding the guild or leaving PS?  Your reasons are very valid for disbanding your guild..  but what is in your future?

*Valbrandr quietly wispers to himself so no Mods or GMs or Devs can hear

\"It seems we are going to have a backlash because of these new guild rules that no one seems to agree with...\"

*But his thoughts are quieted by the vioces of more important people than himself...

I think it would be better to wait before creating my guild once again... And I wont let ps project however I could become less active. You\'ll see : time will learn that to us.

Personaly I cant play to a simple mmorpg french server and I cant play to a mmorpg where there is no rp for too long. Finally as long as ps stay a gnu/gpl project I\'ll support the project because free (not free cost but free) softwares are my kind of programs, I support them and try to use them as long as its possible.

PS is for now the best atmosphere i never see but sometimes ive the feeling that developpers and gamers live in two different worlds...
