Well I was wondering if you guys have cellphones. If you do please put your age when you got it. (Argument with my mom)
Everyone in my school has cellphones, its not even funny...Kinda scary >.>
I think Im like the only person without one in my school......really.  Last year I was the only one in my fourth per. class without one.  I don\'t really want one, I could care less. Its just that I need one.  I go out a lot so when I need a ride or somthing back home I need a cell. My mom thinks I just magicly get one from no where and call her. =/
Im kinda sick of having to borrow a cell from my friends every time I go out and It\'s pretty embarrasing.

Id also like to know how other areas are. Like France or somthing. Does every single person carry cellphones there too? Im seeing 10 year olds with cells already.

LOL 10 year old! Thats just wrong. I dont personnaly have a cellphone but most of the people in 9th grade (14-15 years old(my age) ) have a cellphone

No, no, plenty of service.

I know quite a few people with cells, just most people (under 18s, at least) don\'t have a cell.

I got my cell when I was 12, started catching the bus so I had to.

My theory is, if you are going to spend the money yourself for your cell, and to pay fee\'s for calling, SMS etc, then it\'s your own purchase and thus you can have it. Same as when you buy a pizza

Why the hell do you want a cell phone in the first place? I think they are annoying and interrupt the classes with their gay little ringtones. The only thing I can find a cell phone useful for is emergancies when your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, but when is that going to happen? You really want to dish out 40-80 bucks a month for that? Or is the whole fashion statement and you are not cool or worth talking to unless you have a cell phone?  I hate public schools.

The only reason I have one is because my mom bought it for me when I started going to college, and I only use it about once every two months. Waste of money.

Here in the Netherlands its a rarity when you don\'t have one.

My gf works for instance in a cellphoneshop in Amsterdam, and she got loads of parents buying cellphone (with monthly fees) for their 8 year olds...
Sometimes it\'s even more worse.... children starts whinning about the phone, because its not the latest model anymore.

I got one since 6 years now, and living alone on chambers, and being away often its more usefull then a normal phone.

same for the UK i dont think i know anyone without a mobile (cell) phone number. i got my first one at 15.... the one i have now is great... msn messenger video recorder can go on online ( no not wap actually internet useage....like here) mp3 player.... yep great phone

Efflixi Aduro, use the argument that when you go out she will be able to check on you. and also if you had/seen an car crash or something you can phone right away

Well, most people in Belgium have a cell phone.
It seems to be a  craze with 14-15 year olds, really weird.
I\'m 17, got one for christmas, but I don\'t use it that much.

For some strange reason, a lot of people think you\'re stupid and against progress, if you don\'t have a cell phone 8o

Even in Romania almost everyone has a cell phone. I had my at around 13 y.o. ... I think, can\'t remember the age exactly though. But I see kids that don\'t have more than 9 - 10 years with cell phones. Funny ... and scary ...
 You should really get one.
 A tip? Well, Sony Ericsson is the best. It has the best software, the best cells, the best everything ^^

gah i wouldent want a \"cell phone\" well we call them mobiles here.  besides its cheaper to use public phones if you really have to call someone in an emergency which they only happen so often.  so thats 40c phonebill for some.

but they obviously are necesary for some.  not little wankers who need them to play snake and be \"cool\" little fags.

I dont want a cell phone. You have to pay for a calling plan, plus rolloever minutes.. and not a lot of people @ my school have cell phones, so dont feel like your the only student without one.
