other free mmo rpg's?

i love planeshift and think its the best of em all. i cant stand mu personally, im just curoius are there any others out there like this?

Try RYL. It has an awesome combat system. SO good that just the combat alone, although brainless hack and slash, is still insanely fun. The combat is real time, and somehow is still fair in PvP fights. Only problem is the massive kill stealing. Noobs take advanatage of the combat by delivering the final blow, or  just beating on monsters already being fought by other players. This lets them get massive SP for no work and the original fighter gets half of what he should earn. Not a great community either, but if PS adopted this real time system, it would truely be a force to be reckoned with.

RYL looks cool, but it isn\'t free.

Try Guild Wars, it\'s a pretty cool game.  It\'s in closed beta, but if you pre-order, you can play the beta.  Plus, while you do have to pay to buy the game, there\'s no monthly fee.

But... you still gotta pay... unlike PS...

nope you are ALL wrong.. http://www.rpgwo.com this owns all ever and unless you are twleve and are \"graphics over gameplay\" you will check it out! (if you do play then darkana sent you btw i play as either mountian man, subversion, forester/foresteer, darquetus or darkana depending on server) (nulona is offline for a remake.. but lunitik is just as good.. phobos is forced PK everywhere.. and Steeltide is the best option for total noobies to the game.. the tradeskills in this game are awsome)

Its in open beta. Why do I know this? Because I\'m playing it right now 8). Didn\'t pay a single cent for it, so yeah its free. It won\'t be in a couple of months, but it\'s still a good time waster meanwhile.

Still, you need a code from someone who HAS pre-ordered the game in order to play.

NO. No code. Anyone can play whenever they please.  :rolleyes:

All you have to do is go here:
http://ryl.net/downloads.asp
Then Click the cnet link. Download this in flashget or something like that, it\'ll fly by much quicker.

After that go to the left and you should see a box that reads \"Beta Signup\". Click it. Press continue. Enter a name. Verify that you are over 15 and continue. Then fill in your info (No I cannot do this for you). Then Check your email, verify, enter RYL, let it update and enter the server.

God I can\'t believe I had to give a tutorial for signing up  :rolleyes:

i checked out ryl and it looks good theres a demo somwhere i heard you can dl so im gonna check it out. i dont mean to get off topic and im not sure if this is posted but do any of you know when or have an idea when ps is gonna be released for mac? im not in a rush for it at all cuz i can play it on my bros pc but i have a mac and im really anticipating it.

If GW= Full release, then most likely. I could be wrong though. As far as I know this game has no official standing on P2P, but they most likely say somewhere on the forums or something. Even if it is, the game has a good 9 months to a year before any looming threat of P2P is on the table.
