PlaneShift always crashes in OpenGL mode :(
« on: July 11, 2002, 05:00:25 am »
I don\'t understand it.. I have a pretty common setup: AMD 900MHz, 512MB RAM, GeForce3 64MB, WinXP Pro.  And I can only run PlaneShift in safe mode.  If I run it in OpenGL mode, I get as far as the part where it says \"Initializing World\".  THen boom.. crash.  Anyone else have this problem?

does it just crash or does it say something?  I had a problem with xp with the psclient.exe.  If you do use the search func. in this forum and type \"psclient.exe\" and there is a post that explains how you can solve that problem :).  It deals with makin\' the .exe work as if it was on Windows 98.

Oh, that\'s all you had to say.. I didn\'t even have to search :)  I changed the compatibility mode for psclient.exe to Win98/ME.  That works like a charm.

Thanks!

XP is probably the most stable Microsoft OS out there
