I think \"80s kid\" Isn\'t really a referal to kids who grew up in the 80s, anymore. Kids now watch VH1 \"I love the 80s\" or w/e or hear stories from their mom\'s and dad\'s, come to school and brag about it to their friends like they supercede time or something. Quite sad actually :/, I mean they aren\'t impressing anyone who matters. And if they do impress the little gal or guy they\'ve been eyeing for the past couple of days, it\'ll all come crashing down as soon as he or she watches it and recognizes you\'ve bassically ripped a whole episode

.
My best example is some kid who is new on my bus route (yes I still ride the bus in highschool, it\'s a travesty

) Anyways, this kid bassically came on the bus all good and happy (which is fine, the kid is cool. He\'s happy, and that\'s not something many people find) and brags that he\'s been doing yoga and working out. Immediately he spies some little 13 girl who wears a beenie trying to be intellictual, which is hilarious because from what I\'ve heard from her she is actually quite shallow. Bassically these 2 love birds start confessing they are so much smarter than everyone else because they\'ve been watching I love the 90s and have been listening to \"Rage against the Machine\" lately. The guy starts saying also that he\'s been reading the Ann Rice books, \"The Vampire Chronicles\".
It was hard to keep a straight face honestly, and not that I think I\'m any better because I know I\'ve tried acting intelligent and we all to a point. Well anyways a long story short it was funny to see these kids act all high and mighty above other people because they\'ve watched a bit too much VH1 and love feeling misunderstood. Youth is a funny thing. :]
