This is really annoying ME

Ok this happened on the old MB version and now it does the same on the CB version. Today I downloaded CB version of planeshift. I went to use the \'Open Beta\' icon it comes up with a tiny black screen that has nothing written on it, and my updater does the same thing too. My setup for planeshift doesn\'t even open. The players guide and the website links work but nothing else. I BLOODY HATE THIS PROBLEM, espiecially if it happened to me on MB and CB :(. What makes it worse is that I can\'t get any new drivers or anything cose I have no money to buy one. On my computer I am currently running XP. I have AMD Athlon XP 2800+,
an EXCALIBUR 3D graphics card version 15.0, 2.07 Ghz, 256MB of Ram, 101GB of free space, and a 28.8 Kbps. What on bloody earth am I missing :(

You can download new drivers. You don\'t have to pay for them ;-)

That would be the program command.com or cmd.exe, it\'s a remnant of the old MS DOS (the operating system not denial of service)

Ok  I have the newest drivers for my card and Planeshift still doesn\'t work. :(. tell me what the bloody hell is wrong.........................................

I believe there is a \"checker\" program that scan the big planeshift install file... scan your planeshift install file with that and if that checks out ok.. Try reinstalling planeshift directly over the top... sometimes things can just go wrong and I\'ve found that reinstalling seems to solve the problem most of the time.

Ok I\'ve just had a look at that checking program myself and I cant even get it working so reccomending it to you wasn\'t the best idea I had lol.

Due to your problem happening on MB aswell leads me to believe that its probably something on your computer side of things (hardware/software).

If reinstalling doesn\'t work for you then I dont know what else to suggest.

I dont think it would make much difference but your using 256MB of ram to run windows XP... windows XP needs a bare minimum of 256MB or ram to run... but its reccomended to have 512MB... Its unlikely to effect the ability of the game to run but it would definatly improve your computers performance ;)

As for your video card... can you state the \"Full Model Name?\"... I\'m trying to search your video card to see what its capable of and I keep getting all sorts or different cards and sites lol.

P.S. Is that a 28k modem? :O ouch!
