i just update with chaos ses updater and both libcal3d.11.dylib and libpng12.0.dylib still need to be in usr/local/lib. but libcal3d.10.dylib does not need to be.

Is it still necessary to download the vfc.cfg text? When I use the link in ChaOS\' guide I get this

Bad Gateway
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

is there another way getting to this text or is copying it into the PSfolder not necessary anymore?

Hi, I\'m new to all this...

First off, a huge thanks to dfryer, this game looks excellent, and thanks to you ChaOs as well for the clear explanations of getting it to work.

Unfortunately, as with Esther, I too get the

Bad Gateway
The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.

Other than that, I followed the new instructions exactly, but it won\'t run. Also, I had to use ChaOs\' updater, was anyone else able to use the original?

Any ideas on where I can get the text for the vfc.cfg update?

Do those files repeated ad nausium in the beginnings of this thread still need to be copied over to a lib folder?

Again, thanks everybody, can\'t wait to play...

There\'s still some debate about whether or not the libraries need to be copied right now... When I get home today I\'ll put up a copy of vfs.cfg on my server for download and look into the libraries thing. I run PS fine without libcal3d.11.dylib in my /usr/local/lib/ folder. I do have libpng.12.0.dylib in my /sw/lib folder (for CrystalSpace) but I don\'t think it\'s needed. Try typing those commands dfryer mentioned a bit further back and see if the results are the same.

Here\'s what you do:
Do everything that I say to do in #4 of my guide (The Guide) except drag Resources instead of MacOS into the Terminal window.

Once in the Resources directory, type:
otool -L sprcal3d.csbundle
and hit return. And then:
otool -L sprcal3dldr.csbundle
and hit return.

Examine the outputs. If they are the same, you shouldn\'t need to move any libraries (well, at least not the libcal3d.11.dylib one).

That\'s cause the vfs.cfg file is messed up. Just hang tight for now and I\'ll post the updated file when I get home (in about 4-5 hours).

The link to the good version of vfs.cfg is currently messed up because SourceForge\'s CVS-viewing servers are down.  They\'ll be back up.. sometime.

Thanks,
Daniel
