Well, I\'m sure there will be a bombardment of posts of hurrays and hurrahs it works!.... So I am just checking the forums every day.

dfryer, any thoughts on when though? You said you were looking into if there was another server update planned a few days ago and if not, you would get something out soonish?

Current status is that a couple new problems in the Crystal Space engine are holding things up (both on the Mac and PC side).  We think that a few of the server problems that have been causing so much trouble have been looked after though, so that is a good sign.

Well, that was interesting.  My updater.app just downloaded 19 new files but the client says its still not the right version.  Hmmmmm...

I think from reading other threads, those are just to fix the general overall bugs: dark plaza, the sinkhole (which we mac users never saw) etc. But, as the problems are fixed now (thanks devs), hopefully we are close to having a working mac client?

You never know how much you love something until you lose it, I am so addicted...

i just ran chaos\'s updater and replaced the vfs.cfg file.

but it just gave me this:

Ok i am sure thousands upon thousands of people have asked this and i am very sorry for doing so again but i have only just downloaded the files and it will not run i have attepmted to do all the resource stuff and i am sure i did it right but it still keeps comming up with a message saying \"the application psclient has unexpectedly quit\" and it asks if i want to send a bug report to apple...

people were talking about updating but i kinda missed the plot, can we update using chaOs\'s java one ??

We\'re still waiting for an update. Dfryer is hard at work and I\'m sure we\'ll be up and playing within the next few days. For now, just watch the forums and wait. :)

Now that the PC client is on 3.008 and the major bugs are fixed (I would have loved to get some screenshots of the sinkhole though), it should be possible to have the mac client too, as soon as dfryer gets it working. As far as I see it, there was no point in making a 3.007 client when it was buggy and 3.008 was going to come out in a couple weeks anyway. I think this is what dfryer thought as well.

Keep up the good work, any idea when we can expect it dfryer?

There are still some compile problems (at least for me) with recent Crystal Space and Mac OS X, so I\'m trying to get that resolved in my spare moments.

Just so I know, is everyone on 0.3.007, or do i need to re-download the package (the actual updater never worked, so I\'ve been using the Java one.)

I think you will need to re-download the package, but don\'t, the the link is not working and the package does not work anyways. We are waiting for a new client to be written.

Hello all-
Just spent the majority of the day drinking OJ and reading the full transcript of this thread.  I got .007 installed, dl\'d the Chaos Updater (thanks Chaos, that really did help things along) and engaged ps from the finder (sweet).

I have never in my iLife thought I\'d use Terminal.  I like.  A lot.  But I have to ask, when I 2click on updater.app from the Finder, it acts as if it will open, but then nothing happens.  I tried to engage from the Terminal and it didn\'t seem to work.  Maybe I made a typo?  Any other ideas?

Thing is when I bring up PS it allows me to view servers (Lannx and Failed) but when I try to log into Laanx it says my version is out of date.  I guess I am here with the rest now, waiting for the newer version, which is cool if I did all I can.  Oh and by the way, obligatory shout out to D and buddha you and chaos sure helped me out, so thanks all.
