It\'s in the Detail section under Camera in Options. I also noticed dramatic improvements, especially in the plaza where I was able to maintain decently a frame rate of 10 fps. Some buildings and things did get clipped, but overall the game was much more playable.

Found it, thanx!

That one should be stickied, I think.

hmmmm I wonder if I am having a different problem as everyone else with the screen bug.  I have tried copying and pasting the code into the data file, but nothing has changed, I continue to have the same problem.
    Perhaps its because I am running in a window mode?  Or is everyone running in window mode?

Image repeat
« Reply #603 on: April 28, 2005, 04:55:40 am »
As I walk along there is a trail of a million me\'s following behind, also with the mouse pointer there is a long trail of where i was. Sometimes even when i turn around the whole world blurs across my sceen until it is all one big mess. Can anyone tell me what is happening?
PS. Super sory if i have repeated a post, I couldn\'t quite bring myself to read the 31 pages!

Just add the line in the file and it *shouldn\'t* glitch any more.

Blurring of images and arrows repeating
« Reply #605 on: April 29, 2005, 06:57:47 am »
I am a newbie, buy not as new as I once was.    On leaving the sewers and elsewhere, the floors would blurr again and again and the arrows came back in muliple swirls.    Much of the interior blurring stopped when after I turned
the sound down to mute and I added a line recommended by the gliche people:       Video.OpenGL.DelaySwap = no
In the file:  data/config/r3dopengl.cfg
     But on exiting the sewers the blurring and arrow repeating continued.
eventually, I discovered that if I pushed my arrow forward on the keyboard
I could get to the outside wall and the blurring there disappeared.  Also If i hugged the outside wall and walked toward the tavern and the two Enkidukai stationed outside it, I could escape the blurring.   But If I recrossed the sewer steps walking toward the white outside floor,  I will fall inside the sewer.   Once I fell and survived with some damage but usually
I will get the message \"you have fallen off the end of the world\"  and I find myself back in the Death Realms.
Felix Yellowhair - this is an update from an earlier post which I discovered that I could edit and if I hit the \"Edit Post\" circle below it replaces the old message and substitutes the newer message.

You\'ve got the same problem as everybody. Find the topic \"glith fixed\" or something like that, and do what is said in, it *shouldn\'t* bug after.

Just wondering. Is it possible to set \"load all maps\" without having the config.app for the Mac. I have made the changes for \"glitch fixing\" and \"full screen\" and they works just perfect.

You need...
« Reply #610 on: May 17, 2005, 02:49:28 pm »
to open it with Textedit. So, click on choose application from that window and find it inside your Macintosh HD. It should be in Applications. If by some insane chance you don\'t have textedit, you probably can download it somewhere.

Welcome to the game, though unfortunately it may not work for a little while whilst the new updates are coded for the mac.

thx, but now it just says
System.ApplicationID = pssetup

Video.ScreenWidth  = 600
Video.ScreenHeight = 400
Video.ScreenDepth  = 16

;PlaneShift.GUI.Imagefile = /planeshift/data/gui/imagelist.xml
PlaneShift.GUI.Imagefile = /planeshift/data/gui/releaselist.xml

System.PlugIns.iVFS = crystalspace.kernel.vfs
System.PlugIns.iGraphics3D = crystalspace.graphics3d.opengl
System.PlugIns.iSoundRender = crystalspace.sound.render.software
System.Plugins.iDocumentSystem = crystalspace.documentsystem.tinyxml
System.PlugIns.iImageIO = crystalspace.graphic.image.io.multiplexer

System.PlugIns.iSoundLoader.WAV = crystalspace.sound.loader.wav
System.PlugIns.iSoundLoader.OGG = crystalspace.sound.loader.ogg
System.PlugIns.iSoundLoader = crystalspace.sound.loader.multiplexer

System.PlugIns.iEngine = crystalspace.engine.3d

System.PlugIns.iFontServer = crystalspace.font.server.multiplexer
System.PlugIns.iFontServer.1 = crystalspace.font.server.freetype2
System.PlugIns.iFontServer.2 = crystalspace.font.server.default
Fontplex.Fonts.Default.*Fallback = /this/data/ttf/arial.ttf
OK, so here\'s the code, but how do I play

Wrong file...
« Reply #612 on: May 18, 2005, 02:03:36 pm »
You need to open data/config/r3dopengl.cfg

Will will find this by going to data, to config and there is the file...

Now somewhere on a blank line add:

Video.OpenGL.DelaySwap = no

And that\'s it. Mine looks like this:

;-------------------------------------------
; OpenGL specific stuff
;-------------------------------------------

;Video.OpenGL.Canvas = crystalspace.graphics2d.glx
;Video.OpenGL.Canvas = crystalspace.graphics2d.glwin32
;Video.OpenGL.Canvas = crystalspace.graphics2d.glmac

; Override the detected graphics capabilities.
; For broken drivers or unknown cards you can uncomment and set
; the following values. If commented, a nice default will be used instead.
;Video.OpenGL.Caps.MaxTextureSize = 1024

Video.OpenGL.UseExtension.GL_NV_vertex_array_range = yes

;Video.OpenGL.TextureLODBias = 16
Video.OpenGL.TextureDownsample = 0
Video.OpenGL.SharpenMipmaps = 256
Video.OpenGL.DelaySwap = no
; This threshold is the number of triangles (for a single object) after
; which stencil clipping is prefered instead of plane clipping.
Video.OpenGL.StencilThreshold = 50
; Set to true if stencil clipping is broken.
;Video.OpenGL.BrokenStencil = true
; When clearing the stencil buffer is needed, also clear the Z buffer.
; Possibly faster on some HW.
Video.OpenGL.StencilClearWithZ = yes

...and it continues. See the textline in mine, just add it somewhere in yours

That should be it...

Updater not working for the Mac Yet?

Felix speaking:
   I suspect that the  updater is either too busy or else the updater is only for  PCs and the Mac users will have to wait until the changes made for the PC  format has been updated to Mac format.

On the main Planeshift website under download You find:
Mac OSX

Please notice there are few known problems in the current distro:

- the updater is not working
- sounds are not working

Mac OSX Client (231.087.041 bytes):
Mirror 1: PlaneShift_CBV0.3.009_mac.dmg

Mirror 2: PlaneShift_CBV0.3.009_mac.dmg

Mirror 3: uploading files...

Mirror 5: not yet available, can you be one?

I am tempted to download Planeshift for the Mac to see if it would work.   However i would bet that it doesn\'t.   I tried to just go to
PS with my Mac but it said that I did not have the correct version
and so I quit out.
