OOC: An important event has occured in our guild and I believe it deserves its own thread. If anybody has a problem with that (there\'s always somebody) then feel free to PM me.
Website is still www.ashes-guild.com but we are working on a new one.

IC: The time has come for Ashes to take farewell to some of its members for the first time. In a group that has a member limit of 10 persons, members cannot be the least inactive and this is why some changes have been done.

Four of our members have taken our advice and left the guild for the sake of the group. These members were fairly active and checked our forums a couple of times a week, but this was not enough. We bid farewell to these great members and patiently await their return...

Now Ashes consists of:
Dyari the Grey Shark
Phinehas the Scorching Mind
Zeus the Silver Wolf
and Tybalt the Red Monk

We are currently recruiting but will not let just anybody join. Newbie or oldbie, if we believe that the person would be a good addition we give him/her a shot. We might be selective but have not forgotten that we were once newbies...

Don\'t worry Tybalt, we all know everything will turn out perfect :)
 I am sure you\'ll find worthy people for your guild. But as you said, take care who you\'ll take ;)

yay ashes :) always a good guild ^^

alot of guild are doing activity purges it seems we just put people at the bottom and if they dont move we dont care there just meaty things that are splatter support :D

I left OI and joined Ashes.  Long story behind it, but yes, I\'m in Ashes now.

Don\'t worry Lynx. We\'re not totally changing it, just a bit of revamping. Since we\'re now a non-aligned guild, we\'re taking the alignments page out, changing the sidebar a bit, stuff like that.

For those of you who are interested in knowing, the members that were purged for \"inactivity\" were

Colane, the Rolling Monkey
Ionas, the Tainted Soul
Kurik, the Black Cat
and Sharp, the Psy Bolt

We sincerely hope that they\'ll be able to come back when they can be more active.

Sorry to double post.

I just wanted to point out that according to Kada\'s guild list, Ashes is the newest Guild of the Realm.

I\'d like to take this chance to thank and congratulate Tybalt, Dyari on this great guild that they have built a reputation for. I sincerely hope that Zeus and I will live up to the legacy you have prepared.

*edit* For those guilds interested in having official relations with Ashes, be they positive or negative, please feel free to visit our forum, created especially for this.

*edit* If and when you visit the Ashes Relations forum, do not be surprised by it\'s lack of entries. It is newly created. The Ashes members themselves have a seperate forum.

OOC This is a cool idea to have a group of elites but on the same token I also dont like it because of that.  I am glad to see people as dedicated as you though.

That\'s the point. If all the guilds were elite like us, it\'d be dumb, but we have chosen to be this way, and it works well.

Oh, by the way, for those of you who were worried, I\'m not our PR man, Tybalt is.  ;)

Forgive my friend. I\'m sure he didn\'t mean to say \"elite\". It\'s just that we believe in friendship and therefore wouldn\'t want to let anybody in. Not everybody can function in a group like ours.
Also, the essence of Ashes is that we stay a small group of friends which is another reason why we can\'t afford letting just anybody in. We can\'t afford having members that do not have time for their guild or comrades.

So forget the word elite. I think that \"selective\" might be a better word ;)
