How do you want player/tester input? And what?

I\'m confused. A thread that I though had interesting content about balancing just got locked. (And by me posting here, maybe I\'m getting ready of having my first post deleted, but...)

First of to explain. I understand PS to be a tech demo and not a complete, commercial game.

I\'m here because a) PS is already way cool and has enjoyable gameplay and b) I want to give back and playtest and help developers and GMs see the game from a gamer\'s perspective. Then hopefully it will be even more cool over time!

I also understand that there a good number of people in the game and posting who appear to think that PS is a full game and has the support of a commercial game. I am not concerned with this.

My concern is: How do PS developers and GMs want player input? The reason why I\'m asking is because I have seen one once too often that input that had helpful and constructive content drew irritated and frustrated responses from GMs. I don\'t want to irritate, but help, so let me know what you are looking for and I\'ll be happy to try to help out.

We would like issues to be posted in the CB/Bugs forum only if they havn\'t already been posted by someone else. You can use the Search button to help with this if you can\'t see the same issue on the first couple of pages of the forum.

Um, Mogura, that post would not belong there...I would in fact have moved it here if I saw it there (or the wish list if it had been worded differentely maybe).  Because this is to discuss the game planeshift...and that\'s what they were doing.

I\'m not going to go into if it should have been deleted or locked, because I\'ll here no end to the don\'t discuss moderator blah blah blah. :rolleyes:

I\'m just saying, \"issues\" such as that does not belong in the CB bug forum in my opinion.  

As a side note, if you just want to discuss these things Feran, Kada\'s is always open for these kinds of topics.  I\'m afraid it won\'t help the devs as much (though some do occasionly run by there), but it won\'t get locked.

Where to post input... Well...

Bugs/Problems go into the Bugs/Problems forum.
Wishful thoughts/ideas/or pretty much any kind of discussion about what you want to see ingame, which isn\'t currently there, goes into the Wish List forum.
\"Everyday\" PS stuff goes into the General Discussion forum.

If you put problems/bugs in the GD forum, it\'ll get deleted (if I notice it first, that is). If you put WL stuff in the GD forum, it\'ll get deleted or get moved, depending on whatever mood I\'m in (and what kind of idea it is - some are better than others and deserve to live, if they\'re posted in the wrong place that is.)...

So be sure to read the forum descriptions if you aren\'t sure where your thread belongs. Sure you can also use the other forums if your thread belongs to one of those, but the three listed above are the \"main\" forums. Kind of... You know.

Feran I think it\'s mostly that a lot of new forum members post double threads, don\'t search the forums first and post in the wrong forums. This causes a lot of work and frustration among the forum moderators.
I know I\'ve noticed often 4-8 threads about the same problem or even once 2 threads of the same person about the same problem.

Thanks, I appreciate all your input. I\'ve seen at least three separate threats reporting the exp bug, so I do understand that it\'s tough keeping the place tidy. I\'ll do my best not to contribute to making a mess.
