Data Base Wipe??

Okay, so while I was playing, and we were killing a rouge, and somebody mentioned that there was going to be a wipe. I was a little confused and surprised, and I quickly asked if it was true. It was quickly confirmed, and I was now quite fustrated. I had spent a while training my stats, and now they were all going to get lost. So now I am wondering when this supposed wipe will occur, and I ask if it is possible to keep any of the stats, or if I should just leave the game until the wipe happens. What is going on here??

Nobody knows, probably not, if you want to. Tech Demo testing...

Personally, I\'d rather lose all the work I\'ve done legitimately, than keep it and have ueber-characters out there who got it illigitimately.

Quite a few bugs were discovered early-on that allowed infinite progression points, from what I can tell.

Quite a problem, ne?  How to tell which ones got them legitimately, which ones didn\'t, and which ones are lying about it.  Now, admittedly, you can nerf all the mega-characters, but... what if someone played every day for the last few weeks, killing the bandit. (which was one of the bugs, as for a while it wouldn\'t fight back.. don\'t tangle with it now. )

Yes, early after the game was released there was some bugs that allowed people to get uber stats without even training.. and also it might have duplicated coins and items.

Aside from that they say they are going to do it and restart from migration after a lot of the major bugs are fixed up.

You all worry to much really, if it happens IT HAPPENS...either way there is nothing you can do about it

If you care more about other things ingame rather than training stats, then database wipe isnt so terrible thing.
It all depends what are you looking in game which you are playing.

And it\'s a nice thing for people that really screwed up their characters at the creation. Now we know something about the game there\'s a chance to make a new, good start

People, don\'t forget that you are playing in a beta and in a testing phase! There were serious bugs that caused lots of invalid character stats (which can\'t be easily corrected) and there are still bugs. We want to be sure that the server is doing stats correctly and that there are no major gameplay issues and at that point we will start fresh. Nothing will be kept. You will have to recreate your character (and possibly get the ring/trias from migration) and start from nothing again.

We don\'t know yet when this will happen. It depends on when we are sure enough that things are stable and that there are no major bugs anymore (at least bugs affecting stats in a bad way).

We are testing right now. Don\'t forget that. This is not a full or final game yet.
