Error Message/Updating

I just dowloaded the game and when I tried to play message saying that an erro has occoured pops up and the game closes.Also,how long do the updates take because I am trying to update and it tells me it\'s checking for updates,but it\'s been like that for at least 5 minuets.

Nevermind this post,the updater just started working so the game should be able to play now.
