Can't login....Server unreachable???

I just downloaded the client and i created an account but whenever I try to login to the \"laanx?\" server I get a message saying the server is not running or is unreachable....does anybody know what the problem is?

Mine isn\'t either buddy. I think the servers are just down, because nor is my friends.

I had this same problem at first. I had two server choices: localhost (which obviously wasn\'t going to work... ) and Laanx. Since localhost wasn\'t a valid choice, I just figured Laanx would be selected by default--in my case it wasn\'t.

After I physically clicked on the Laanx server, placing the focus highlight on it, presto, connection made.

I don\'t know if while I was futzing around with the log in screen the servers had come back online or what, but this is what worked for me, can\'t hurt to give it a try if you haven\'t actually tried it already.

If you have and still can\'t log on, best of luck solving the dilemma.

mine isnt workin and i only hav fragnetics in the box andit keeps sayin unable to connect but sometimes it says you are playin the wrong planeshift version or summat

I had that same problem but do you have a folder that is the plane shift folder? I found out that that was the problem. I just had to delete copys of the folders and just have one.

did you try running the updater ?  The server won\'t allow you to connect unless your client stands on the same version as the server.

Note : prior to running the updater copy the glwin32 file present in your planeshift folder to another one, with some configurations the new glwin32 that comes up after the update causes the texts to disappear from the game, and the solution is to just replace the new glwin32 with the old one after the update has happened.

If it says you\'ve got the wrong version, you\'ve got the wrong version, nothing buggy with that. With PlaneShift comes a nice little program called the \"updater\". Us that program to \"update\" you version to the newer version.
But it\'s possible the update server is offline today, so you may want to wait untill tomorow.

I cant run the updater or the game i want to play really bad will someone walk me through this please i have been gameless for a couple of days i hate DELL im never getting one of thier computers again

Sir Adaon. First, use the setup tool to change your video settings, check if other settings do work.
If it doesn\'t, try updating your video drivers.
If those 2 don\'t work, try reinstalling planeshift. If you did that, backup the glwin32.dll file in you planeshift directory. Run the updater, the updater asks you to restart it. Copy the backup glwin32 back to it\'s original place. Run the updater again. Copy glwin32 again to it\'s original place. Your updater should work if you use this, and the game too.
Just try this, if it doesn\'t work, post it.

 Edit: You stupid **** why didn\'t you tell me! You just could\'ve told me!! You can\'t update today, because the updater server is offline and you can\'t play the game because you have the wrong version, which you can\'t get because -see beginning of the sentence- . And don\'t be mad at me! I just tried to help you, and I didn\'t had much info to work with and you start Caps-Lock\'ing around. You jerk!

I DID ALL THAT STUFF IT JUST CANT CONNECT TO THE SERVERS!!!
