Hows life?
« on: January 11, 2005, 01:51:10 am »
Well, with everything thats happend in the past month or so I would like to ask you guys how life is going.
I may be only 15 but I have a much deeper veiw of life than others think.  There is only one thing a person needs to do to live happy. Enjoy everything you do.  I have lost and gained a lot in my life but there if theres one think I can promise you is that there have been more people than I can count (that I personally knew) die.  In only the past three years or so seven or eight people I knew have died but one think that was the same in each death was that I didn\'t cry.  I have never cryed for somone dieing and I never will.  I still see life as somthing nice that is up to me to enjoy.  Now, I\'m not the richest person in th world, but, I do live in a house in so-cal with 3 cars, a comp, my own room, a gamecube, and more.  I have so much to thank my parants (no, not God. My parants) for.  I will never let somthing influence who I am, let it be a death, terrorist attack or anything.  Not even you people who listen to death Metal have to think life sucks.  Enjoy it for what it\'s for and squeez all the fun out of it until the day you die.
Also, be an individual.  Don\'t let the stupid media poisen another good brain.  When Fox says \"stay tuned we\'ll be right back\" Say Shut up, ur not the boss of me and change the channle so those basterds trying to keep you glued to the screen lose money.  Be yourself for whatver you do, now, it won\'t be easy but you will feel much higher and better than those slaves of the media around you.
(btw if you watched VH1\'s best commercials of the year you are an ultimate mind slave)
I get in trouble for being myself at school but Im not changing for anyone except myself.  Teachers (especially the assistant principle) talk to me differently because they know if I get in trouble for doing somthing \"bad\" I will fight to the death with them for my side and not give up.  I have been in the office for over an hour before talking to \"Mrs.Kim\"  because I didnt do anything wroing but I got punished for cheating anyways.  Ofcourse I got in even more trouble for putting up a fight against the dicatorship but I don\'t mind. Now, Im not out to change the world but I will do what I belive in even if there no hope for a good outcome.  I have also been sent to the office twice because I was right and the teacher was wrong in an argument and they sent me to the office to set me as an example of what will happen to the rest of the slaves if they dare to speak up against their masters.

Now, with all that said and done I would like to wish all of you a good life and know how yours is going. :)

Have a nice life!

Meh life is so boring..

Starts with work and will always end with work for me, but I got a new computer and saw my sister finally take hold of her dream to go travel in Central America so I am about as happy as I will ever get unless I win the lotto.

Guess it doesn\'t help that I am slowly losing interest in PlaneShift for some stupid reason and I haven\'t been tending to my guild leader duties, slowly the world of one crumbles but hopefully not yet..

Thinking of life is usually a sign that one getting older. Well... Let me try to figure out how to answer more completly to your post.

Enjoying life is not always possible due to the nature of living happy. There is always something that definetly makes you happy, and if that is missing - enjoying life is quite hard. Life is like a zebra, it can change every minute and if suddenly you have been robbed of whatever you had required for your felicity, life becomes miserable.

Not crying for people you lost? This can mean two things, either you\'re manly enough not to cry, or you\'re inhuman monster, who doesn\'t even care about anyone. Pick one ;)

About media... Switching the channel every time the newscaster says \"Stay tuned\" makes one quite original in... some other... way. Of course you can argue that the phrase sounds like a command, but I think most people are used to considering it more of a anouncement. ...and a last thing (note: If you\'re not a TV maniac, you can skip those next two lines)... Want to be original, put that TV remote control down and do something useful.

Please fininsh reading the post before saying that I\'ve gone OT. Quite some schools in US have racism. I can easily remeber an example... When I was in 7th grade (almost in jurassic period), I had a fight with \"African-American\" kid. So we both went to the principle assistant. The kid told his side of a story (which was something like this: \"I was goin\' to pick dat ball, but he tackled me! I sad \"wtf?\", but then he said, he was goin kik my rass!). After the novel, the assistant just let him go without even asking me! But that is just social position. Let\'s see what schools actually teach... hm... Until the middle school, its just a child play (our family friends have their children going to ES). What\'s after? Well... When I arrived to my first school day in America, I was shocked. I could not imagine a reason for drawing some random rectangles and circles in 7th grade science class (not saying that I had a hard time trying to define exactly what does \"science\" class study). When I went to 8th grade, I started a second school (which was located at my country\'s embassy) to add some more challenge. I almost died. At night I had physics, chemistry, geometry, biology, algebra (more like U.S. Algebra 2(c)) et cetera. In public school I enjoyed... ESOL class for reDarTs, Algebra class for reDarTs and some more adventure. The only class I really enjoyed was U.S. History - some moments were pretty intresting... So... sorry to say that as I\'m still there, but Yankee school system is a (not a nice word there) system. As far as you\'re a student, I advice you not to fight it. Laugh at it, make fun of it, but do not fight with it. It won\'t lead to anything good as for now you\'re just a lowly student and nobody will listen to you and your arguments.

Well, Efflixi (Blah, still hard to say it...) I agree with you a lot on that except for one thing...

You don\'t take shit from anyone because you are one badass mother f*cker, right? That\'s the impression I get from you and your viewpoint on don\'t let anyone change what you do. Yeah, you don\'t want everyone telling you how to run your life, but you do need to learn how to take orders from someone.

I hear that quote all too many times and I think it is immature and stupid. No offence intended, but it is. Like you said, be an individual; I agree 100% with you there, but if you live by your own rules every single time, you will be shot down. (Not literally...) Example from a future job or something:

>Boss: I need you to stay about 30 minutes later today to finish up this important business deal for me. It would be appreciated and I am too busy with other stuff to finish it tonight.
>You: Hell no, I am leaving when my shift is over and you won\'t tell me differently.
>Boss: I\'m not going to put up with your badass attitude anymore. I have put up with it for almost a year now. You\'re fired.
>You: I don\'t care...I can always get another job.

Ok, yeah; corny example. You may not be like this now, but don\'t turn into someone like that. You just seemed that way to me from your views, and that will hurt you later on if it is true.

If I didn\'t mention it earlier, I agree about living life to the fullest and getting everything out of it; you only live once. Also, I don\'t cry at funerals because I just don\'t seem to show emotions really; not sad/depressed ones anyways.

I agree with the get out and do somthing but not the lowly student part. Get a gun, take it to school, and put it at your own had. See how lowly you are then. You have a voice if you use it right. Planning a successful sit it can be very productive.

the american school system does suck, thats why our country is so bad as it is... *sigh*
though not all schools are the same in the past 3 years i have been to 4 different schools, 3 highschools and 1 middle school... each one was different and had a different enviroment, of course now im in one of the crappiest... its underfunded and overcrowded... 2000+ kids?? at least i wasnt stuck in 2 janitor closets for classes last year

well for me any i start my day at the computer and will end it there so HAH!
I am just a figment of you imagination and a byproduct of the worse accident ever... ... or so my mommy says!

well iam preety much still hated around here (ps) *dodges wave of rotten produce* i know its my fault but heck i asked for it so i guess i reaped what i sowed here.

other than that iam doing fine in real life lifes just alittle more tight with work and stuff but its nothing i cant handle.

Ot:
@ Efflixi don\'t be so sturbon(i know your not stupid), but i guess its the \"communist at 20, capalist at 30\" phase your in but heck, if theres no good in what your doing \"give it up\" dont let the nike ads get to your head :P

sometimes you gotta give alittle more respect to authority, Yeah even if you got accused of doing something you did not do. More courtesy towards your oppressors helps , now iam not asking you to wax their cars or pledge your life to them (you know what i mean). It would tip the balance of the arguement over to your side or at the least, land you a lighter sentence. If you want to change your school or socieity then get into a position where you ARE able to change things. Get involved in the student council or start a pettition dont go overboard and rebel like a madman, hell you may not like it but you cant have your cake and eat it to !

i suggest you \"take it like a man TM\" and cry in your room so no one can hear you :D j/k

just remember your teachers, have to look after you and your fellow schoolmates and they also have their own family issues to deal with not just you and your non-sense.

@ faldrok
it could be that you just arn\'t attatched to the person who died.

sure if a distant aunt dies i don\'t think i would cry (i sound like a b**sturd here) but as the person didn\'t mean alot to me or i didn\'t really knew the person well enough then i guess its natural not to cry.( but of course i dont laugh out  loud, throw confittie over the grave or wear a big stupid grin )

fighting the dictatorship face on has dire consequencies as to how you may be viewed as a person.  If you want people to think of you in the positive colours of life try the subtle mind warp approach...
A lot of people view sticking up against something like accusations as an admission of guilt (probably because they are full of it themsleves about aspects of their lives) and feel the need to make examples of those they should be protecting.
I always try to make them think that it was their idea, that way you get positive feedback about your behaviour and they think that everything is alright....ok this will only work if you can \'read\' the person youre trying this on, but if you can do it then your days are made.
Showing respect to authority is a great piece of advice...After all its also a great way of buidling rapport and gaining information; if they view you as non-threatening and non-hostile its amazing what they will tell you.

When I was at school and gone through the whole rebel stage and realised more could be done from the inside I took it upon myself to boycott a teacher that was universally disliked...she got transferred due to and I quote \"the obscene amount of incompetence this class shows\" a week later we aced the up an coming test HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I hated school and all things associated with for a long time, yet by becoming a part of the workings I got something good done for the students rather than the teachers!

Emotions are very weird things.  But grief is the strangest, I know I used to work in a Funeral Directors so had to do grief counselling.  I found it easier to switch off to grief etc after that.  Strike that, not ignore but to convert those feeling into something productive, yet at the same time something which I could associate with those lost.
That way grief doesnt become overpowering and I had something good to remember them by.

Interesting.
Though I don\'t argue with the teachers, I use mind tricks to get off easy.
I especially like the way you put death. My cousin is one of those EMO depressed kids that talks about suicide and stuff, and how people will miss them. I know I wouldn\'t. People die, that\'s life(or rather the end of it). I in fact look forward to it.
As to my life, it\'s painfully monotonous. Get up Go to school. Come home. Sit on the computer all day while my sister pisses me off, go to bed. I hate everyone by default so I don\'t go out much. Sometimes my friend will come over and we\'ll play with flash or go tobogganing and yell profane things to people doing burnouts in the high school parking lot. Though life is boring I stick to my motto, \"It can always get worse.\" Be grateful for what you get because you could be getting less.
The steel priest is back and ready to start converting.

What\'s the point of doing that? They will just get you disarmed (you do know that almost all of the teachers studied psychology as well), either by words or physically. After that, you\'re even lower than you were before, because now you\'re also considered mentally unstable and watched closely. You can also say, that your life is ruined as well, because your naughtiness will stay with you forever in a form of your permanent record.

I\'m not sure of what you are trying to get by putting the gun to your head, but depending on what kind of people sit in your school\'s office, there is a great chance that you won\'t get it.

If you are after attention....It is one of the worst method of getting it.
