my sword

AH, i dun think a single person here is ACTUALY here to play this game for realism. Why would one need games that are like real LIFE, what IS the POINT? I think, and KNOW that ppl are here for the great looks that this game has, and graphics. This is where that comes in, i would much rather use a \"fake\" sword, than that, that looks like a piece of \"poo\" just cuase it\'s real!

P.S. the swords that you use now, and \"train\" yourself with, are not your actual swords that would be seen in your \"normal\" middle ages!

ok... there now you can accually see the thickness and its almost as thick as the handle... are you still going to say that its going to snap and go back to playing ff7 or are you going to shut up

i started the trend with my crap swords:P go back to the early pages to see um, and umm, cover ur eyes, tehy were within the week i started modelling

download the tutorial off the site, u dont use a pencil, u use shapes like cubes and stuff and manipulate them.

once u get the tutorial, unzip it to the c:\\gmax\\ or whereever u installed gmax to.
Open gmax>help>tutorial

actualy the swords that i make are almost exact replicas of those in the mideval times. I have supplyed many of the renaissance fairs that come here every year. Its hard work to forge steel have you ever tried. As far as realism is concerned i know its not supposed to be exactaly real but the laws of physics should still apply. but you couldnt possibaly understand the importance of a good quality sword till you actualy used one in real life. I play the games because the realm that i wish to be in is no longer here other than in the minds and hearts of people like me.

ps that other image that you did does give the sword the strenght it would need but it would only be good a piercing type attacks such as rapiers are because when you slashed at something the tip would bend or break off. but it is youre sword from you own imagination so you can make it be how ever you want for it to be even if all it would be good for it looking at.

hello everybody, I just joined this forum today but I have been checking up on the games progress for a while now

as how everyone seems to be modeling swords and stuff I thought I\'d give it a go

so here\'s my first model ever and my contribution to the world of crappy swords

that would make a really good sword for a hobbit to use or something around that size. I agree the blade does need to be longer because of the size of the hilt but other than that its really good

I wanted to post some pics of my own because i want input (obviously) and because i saw how critical some people are being i should make it clear that i am not going for realism, cause it is easier to make stuff look cool.
