We have risen again!
« on: January 12, 2005, 10:29:49 am »
Greetings brothers and sisters I am Uther Penndragon, I have been sent by the Goddess to bring her followers hope and joy once again. My mother Edwinna once made a guild called the children of the Goddess, I have taken over this guild and we know have a new website
http://www.freewebs.com/childrenofthegoddess
Now let me introduce the guild to those who do not know it:

Alignment: Lawful neutral

Goals: Protect those weaker than us, and offer healing to the weak and the wounded also to spread the words of the Goddess.

Story:
It all started in another dimension known as Gaia, land of the Goddess.
Gaia was a peaceful land ruled by a fair king whose intentions were as pure as his heart, but he was dying and left to take the throne were his son.
The son was very different from his father he enjoyed seeing the people suffer and it is even said that he had his own personal torture chamber down in the dungeons.

The king died and the son became the new king, the Goddess was not happy to see her people suffer she called upon her High Priestess and told her that she had to lead her people out of this land, so they could be happy once again.
The High Priestess agreed to do so, and she went to the people and told them that a bright future was to come and that she would lead them to the true land of the Goddess.

The Goddess opened a portal and the people walked through it in hope to come to this Promised lands, but little did they know?.
The Goddess had led them to the land called Yliakum, land of Talad and Laanx.
The High Priestess saw the suffering of the land and so she agreed with the people that they would do everything in their path to help these people, so they made the Holy order of the Goddess. Time passed and the order changed to the one we today know as Children of the Goddess.

The Goddess was happy to see what her people had done and so she promised them a good and fair leader her champion the Chosen one.
A man appeared and proclaimed to be the Chosen and so Uther Lightbringer became the leader of the Children, later on he rejected the Goddess in a fight and the Goddess saw how blind she had been. But then a young elf appeared she demanded a audience with the current leader and proclaimed to be the Chosen, the guild was suspicious and one said ?once we have been fooled, how can we believe that you stranger is the true Chosen?? the girl smiled and showed her hand? the people were surprised on her hand she wore the rune of the Goddess the pentagram, the people then proclaimed her the Chosen and she will lead them and she shall represent the hope and ideals of the guild. For so it is written so it shall be done!

- Taken from the holy book of the Goddess

IC: Father, do you recognize me?  Tis me, Arthur.  I know you were forced to give me away when I was just a baby to the great necromancer, Merlin, but I do not blame you even though Galahad and Lancelot call me Arthur the Bastard.

I have fathered a child, making you a grandfather {though it was with my sister}.  You should come see him sometime, {preferably before he kills me}.

OOC:  Ahh... I like your name.  Checked out your site and it looks good enough too though do you only have two members or is it just not updated? I thought your story was pretty good and I like your hierarchy too but why?  Another Lawful Good guild.  How about Chaotic Neutral?  Sounds good huh.

Announcement: you any of you have read my story \"the Crusade\" you will come to know that we saved a little girl who now is around 19 years old and well she is available, but there are a few requirements:

1. You need to be able to roleplay as a girl (we do not care if you are a boy or a girl irl).

2. You need to be a member of the children of the Goddess (you saw that coming right?).

3. You need to be a Dermorian.

Other than that you are free to choose what class you are and what your name is but if you are having a hard time finding a name you can just ask us ;)

well if you are interested feel free to PM me or write on our forums.

Other than that so noone has any comments on the changes of the guild? or our new website crappy/good?
we would really like some feedback  :)

Rules of the guild

? Try to be as active as possible; members who have not been active for around a month

will receive a e-mail and if they do not answer that they will be banned.

?  Have respect for other members in the guild, and treat them as you want them to treat you.

?  Do not harm another member.

?  Do not attack a member from another guild without getting permission from the leader of your rank.

?  Do not carry out an order if it goes against what the guild stands for, unless it can further help a good cause.

?  Guild matters will stay in the guild, and therefore you may not talk about it unless it is made official.

Holy rules of the Goddess

- Live after the laws of the land you live in.

- No Member is inferior to you and therefore you shall not humiliate them.

- Never talk about others in a negative way whether they are there or not.

- Show respect for others? belief and religion.

- Treat mother earth and everything that belongs to her with the same respect you give yourself, and defend her if anyone wishes to destroy her.

- Listen politely to a conversation even though you think it is nonsense.

- Remember to praise the goddess for everything she has done for you and others.

- Give thanks for the life and the possibilities in the light in front of you.

- Listen to the guidance you get from your heart and feel its way.

- If you are evil towards a person you are evil towards all people including yourself, but if you are good towards a person you are good towards all people including yourself.

- All races are like different colored flowers on a field, they are all children of the Goddess and so they shall be respected, if you can do this then you have found the right way towards the light.

- It is your duty to heal a person in need, whether he/she is a member or not.

And remember to always listen with your heart!

these are the rules of our guild

Oh really? And how would one go about getting a date with her? oh... That\'s not what you meant... :D

P.S. What do you mean by closing the guild after a day?

To exploit my situation I would like to present our rank system:

Chosen of the goddess
The Chosen shall represent the goddess on Earth and is her Champion, the Chosen shall lead the guild with the champions but he has the final word in all discussions. The Chosen is leader as long as long as he lives or if he chooses to retire, then he will decide who will take his place as the chosen.

Tower master 100 points

The master of the tower that they serve in, they are responsible for the behaviour of the members in their tower.
A part of the council that runs the guild with the Chosen, these are also highly trained in the skills their tower practices.

Masters of Gaia 90 pts

Individuals who represents the guilds in official matters such as duels. These are also taken as the personal bodyguard of the Chosen and will assist and protect until death.

Defender of elements 75 pts

Individuals who have proven themselves worthy of the goddess? attention and they are counted among some of the most powerful in the guild. These are sometimes used as leaders if the Tower master isn?t able to lead the members.

Guardians 55 pts

Guardians are the keepers of the guild and it is their duty to protect it when at war, it is also their duty to protect the guild house from spies and such threats.

Protectors 30 pts

It is their duty to protect the people from killers and such if the city is under attack these will help the city guard defend it, it is also their duty to help people inside the guild house when at war so we can protect them there.

Disciple 25 pts

These are the members who will preach the words of the goddess and they will also help the people in any way they can, these are also faithful followers of the goddess.

Follower 10 pts

A new member in the guild, also noted as a regular member this is where they will be for some time until they have proven themselves ready to proceed onwards in the guild.

Novice 0 pts

A person that has requested to become a member of the guild, they will be placed her until they have proven that they want to be a member in the guild... basically the novice rank is where we test them of their loyalty and how much they want to be in this guild.

You get points by roleplaying and following the rules

OOC:Well ok I looked over site and so far I found at the main page you spelt healing like this \"healinf\".

Really thats the only thing I see at the moment that I would have fixed, capitalization is also important for example on your menu you have it posted \"The towers\" when it is just as important \"The Towers\". Don\'t want to make it sound like The towers is a not so important thing. Lot of those little mistakes and spelling mistakes.

Also the fact you have to scroll the top menu is not so convenient, perhaps you can fit it all just on one part so you won\'t have to scroll.

IC: Last but not least perhaps you can change the line

\"we are a lawful good and seeks to avoid combat at much as possible.\"

Really the possibility of your guild being affective against evil without taking combat is 1 in a million actually I give it a 0 in a million. Think realistic!

By stereotypical d&d alignment descriptions this should be Neutral Good.
By loose Ethics and Morals descriptions, Depth and Sep whine about most unimportant things:
Lawful - abide by honor, respect law.
Good - be nice to others.

- Swords
