Well, #7 doesn\'t have any work...really. You just take out 2x^5 from both of them and you are left with (3 - 7x^2). So, the answer would be A: 2x^5(3 -  7x^2)

Number 9 only has one step, pretty much. You just multiply using the FOIL method on that one. First Outer Inner Last. So, after you do that you get 10x^2 + 6x - 15x +9. Then, you just combine terms to get C: 10x^2 - 9x + 9.

There you have it; if you need more explaination, then just say something and I can expand on what I said.

NOTE: x^2 is x squared. x^3 is x cubed, etc.

EDIT: I will show the work...I forgot. Number 7 is first, and then 9.

6x^5 - 14x^7
     2x^5 (3 - 7x^2)
        A

(2x - 3) (5x + 3)
10x^2 + 6x - 15x + 9
10x^2 - 9x + 9
 C

gosh, i miss doing math with numbers.
may laanx frighten the shadow from my path.
hardly because the shadow built the lexx.
the shadow will frighten laanx from my path.

All you have to do is simplify the question then expand and simplify the answers untill you get the right one.

Wait! Faldrok is wrong!

Both are A The first one is right but the second is wrong.

-3x+3=-9  NOT +9

#9 is A

right, or course it would be -3*3=-9 as correct computer way of doing the formula

anyway if i start posting my math homework will you guys do it? its really simple, just boring :D
I am just a figment of you imagination and a byproduct of the worse accident ever... ... or so my mommy says!

ooh thanks guys. Planeshift geniuses eh?

after studying the reply\'s for about 10 minutes they finnaly made sense. (I think i have a mathematical learning disability lol)

that was a test, and i got a 90 on it. even though that sounds good i was still disapointed :(

Im trying to make the Principals list (95+ average)
and it will be very close.

i dont know about you guys, but when i ccome home with a 90 or below on a test or something. my parents are Outraged.

Well, thanks for the help. I have Some homework tonight on a new subject that i may need some explaining for. perhaps ill post a problem or two. so i can see how they work.

New stuff ... some of them look like things ove done in 3rd grade, but others are nasssty.. math pwnz me

al i have to do is simplify them like the other ones, then multiply/devide them right?

PS: dont do them all for me, lol   i need to learn to do this myself :P

I want easy math like that again... at least I wouldn\'t be going crazy :<

bleh, can\'t help much since I don\'t know namings of all that math stuff in english.

Just put two fractions into one and then reduce... or reduce and then put into one...

like 25)

-x^3/8 : -x^2/16 = -x^3/8 * 16/-x^2 = -16(x^3)/-8(x^2) = 2x

Well. One of the checked answers isn\'t actually wrong. Then your parents ought to be angry not with you but with that teacher.

Now note that for 7 and 8 all but one of the possibilities is correct!
7: C is correct (as is A and D btw!) Got a check mark.
8: C is correct (as is A and D again!) Got no check mark.

For these two I suspect what happens, is that the teacher copied this from a problem book but the original answer was: Find the factor which is NOT equivalent to the one given (then the correct answers would be B for both). Then there is one unique and correct answer. However the quiz does not indicate this. Teachers fault, and the grading is wrong.

9: A is correct. You picked B. B is wrong because of a sign error. -3*5x=-15x  and + 3*2x = +6x. The sum is -9x not +21x which you get if it were +15x. So this check mark is fine

So as far as I can see you only missed 9. If you think the teacher misgraded, your parents should check this and have a talk with the teacher, if s/he is unfairly trashing your grade level. Their outrage may well be misplaced.

P.S. Do those other exercises yourself. It\'s not hard if you do a few and it\'s good for you! :)
