I think I rather wait for the Loki installer, had it with compiling attempts.

Well, since my client now crashes all the time, I\'ll better wait, too....

Hmm, I looked at that script and noticed that it doesn\'t run ldconfig after it installed cal3d. If you don\'t run it, it\'s not guaranteed that CS finds cal3d when linking the plugins. But make sure you have /usr/local/lib in your /etc/ld.so.conf first. It\'s also recommended to do a \'make uninstall\' of the old version of cal3d before you install the new one.

That\'s unnecessary if you install into the dir where the source is and provide LD_LIBRARY_PATH, isn\'t it? ... well, that should be provided somewhere... i\'ll add the uninstall...

I didn\'t have a close look (I have other thing to do at work ;)) From what I saw you were using only \'make install\' for cal3d, which installs the libs to /usr/local/lib by default. But yes, I think ldconfig could be omitted if LD_LIBRARY_PATH is used, but I\'m not sure.

Hm, I changed my cal3d script to only download lib, include, src and plugins dirs, and now it won\'t compile any more... (i also deleted other directories which appeared to be useless whatsoever...)
irgendwie absurd, dass wir uns auf englisch unterhalten...? ;)

Why does he have to look at it at all?
The installer is working properly (as prooved by lots of users...) and much more are waiting for it... so he shall put it online... if he wants, he could review it after that *grumbling*

It\'s part of the agreement that it has to be reviewed ;)
It could be possible that it contains stuff that wrecks your computer or empties your bank account

Based on the fact that there\'s nothing to take from a student\'s bank account and that we all have already tested your installer, I\'d say (that is for me... ) the risk is negligible small ;-)

My bank account is currently at -20 dollars so for me the risk is pretty much nil. As for wrecking my computer, well, I\'ve never even had a poorly written program do that.  This is linux, not windows here - if something doesn\'t work right its a simpler task to fix it.

Hehe, as for wreching my PC, that won\'t be anything new. At least I keep the important data on another PC/server.

PS (compiling it) and other Linux apps (many betas) has messed up this PC (gaming and other fun stuff) so many times I have lost count on reinstallations from a clean slate.

The Loki installer has not messed up my PC yet! :D
