Actually I\'m only using Linux because I can\'t boot Windoze anymore ;)

I\'ve been waiting for this installer scince the official one totally bitched up and did\'nt even make any binary\'s (horay!) and Then I come back here and your loki installer got taken down like 30 seconds ago - Damn :-(.

I think I\'ll try the loki installer, it\'s worked for me before when some other files I\'ve downloaded have done little more than take up disk space and print error messages :-)

Hope the Approval happens this year, but looks like it might be  2015 before it\'s approved  :-(

:) No, they aren\'t. I think PS is just famous among german linuxusers because it has been reviewed on holarse, the largest german linuxgaming community.

peeg:
maybe, I\'ve seen that review on Holarse after finding it on the web.

*grumbling*
The Planeshift team accomplishes it to implement new character-models, new food, new loot... but it\'s half-assed to maintain a propper working linux version... even if there\'s Karosh\'s installer...

@peeg: What\'s Holarse? xD Well I for myself found Planeshift on sourceforge.net, I still used Windows then.

(Have you guys seen the press conference this morning about the limitation of German right of assembly due to that NPD stuff? Well I\'ve been wondering whether there are more Planeshift players than NPD members in Germany....)

So i used the installer from http://www.planeshift.it/download/882827CB3/planeshift_CBV0.3.006_linux.zip on Fedora Core 3 (nop didnt use the rpm) the install went without any error, but the \"links\" i believe weren\'t created:
Code: [Select]
[hav0x@localhost ~]$ pssetup
bash: pssetup: command not found

same with \"updater\" \"psclient\" etc
I installed it to \"/usr/local/games/Planeshift/...\" as root, so i went there to take a look and .. hmmm
Code: [Select]
[hav0x@localhost planeshift]$ ls -l
total 3120

I know, it has been a while, but I bring good news, fresh from IRC:

and I\'ll tell Talad that your installer is good

I guess you can expect the installer back very soon(tm) ;)

I was just about to edit my post ^^

Have a look at your logfile. It\'s called \'installer_full.log\' I think. There must have been some compile errors. If you find something, post it.

Hmmm looks like this one is really borked :\\
I\'m not very familiar with kronon\'s installer, so I will have to look at it again to find something out, but this could take some time. Jam should be compiled with CS, but I\'m confused why it couldn\'t find cs-config. There must be some error in the installer script itself.

And which RPM\'s are you speaking of? You could also wait for my installer to be back up ;)
