I wasn\'t able to update from a previous install, so I had to download the full installer.  Not a big deal at all, since it worked flawlessly.  Thanks Karosh!

Also, I\'d like to personally thank karosh for helping me last night.  I was having some updater problems, and he went out of his way to help me. Not many people would have spent as much time with it as he did, and I appriciate it very much.  People like Karosh are wonderful assets to the planeshift community, and I can only hope to return the favor somehow.

Thanks again for everything you have done.

As Jamona, my character, told me yesterday, the party must have benn very nice although she almost got killed. She said the loki version runs way better than my own compilation did. She also claimed that she doesn\'t believe in Laanx any more, she now believes in Karosh Steinkatz, God Of The Bad Treated Linux Users. Well, I\'ll give no comment to this.

(Jamona also told me about the great milk they had in the tavern. She must be very happy about the fact they Got Milk.)

YAY!!!!!

I installed PS using this fantastic Loki installer.

Updated immediately afterwards.

Choose my long awaited Klyros race and model. About time! Looks so impressive, a massive big thanx to Erik for the Klyros model.

Joined the world, die immediately falling off the world (must be a starting bug or something), then crashed.

Restarted and joined the world, die again falling off the world. Found myself lying on the ground, changed view modes and received a standing model. Changed back to 3rd person mode to get a good look at the Klyros. A wee bit dark so I attempted to get out of DR. Got stuck after the bridge when one has to walk up the spiral around the column. The Klyros model does not seem to climb the slop. Ended off the platform to restart the journey. Gave up with a /spawn to get back to the plaza, from where I took a quick run to the Laanx Dungeon. Walked around edge to entrance in the air, Klyros seems to have a large occupying volume making the Klyros feet to walk on air next to the edge, weird looking.

One thing that really stood out, is the frame rate and movement. It is the fastest I ever seen. Even compiling it from source (until it stopped working), it was a heck of a lot slower, yet supposed to be optimized for my machine than the Loki installer. Karosh_Steinkatz, what ever you did to improve the speed, just keep it up!

A huge thanx to Karosh_Steinkatz for allowing me to rejoin the PS world once more and Erik for providing the Klyros model. You two guys are the best. Oh, Jorrit for providing the engine on which PS is built!

Karosh did you build in release mode?  Will have to make sure that the updater uses the same.

It installs perfectly for me. The initial startup screen takes forever, but at least it starts!

acraig: I built  cal3d, CS and cel in optimize mode, and PS in debug (with -g2) That\'s why the client, setup and updater are big and therefore zipped with bzip2.

Small update: updater script was fixed to correctly detect if a needed  tool is not in the path. A bigger one with a new client will follow soon :)

Ooh, ooh, let me guess... :D
Is it version 0.0.7??

BTW After the first session the startup screen is much faster. As a matter of fact, the game works great now. Thanks a million Karosh!!!
