updater doesn't finish
« on: January 17, 2005, 06:19:15 pm »
when I launch the updater it says it\'s version 1.0.2.2 and will download new updater, version 1.0.2.3; when it does it gives a popup telling it has to do something in the background and it will let me know when it\'s done.

when I click OK the updater exits, and doesn\'t leave any background processes, and never gives gives that complete message.

if I start updater again, it\'s still 1.0.2.2.

Yes, but the good old sticky solution for updater problems still works. In fact, it is more convenient this way, as I can scan for visuses before starting the new updater, and it\'s not required to manually kill the hanging updater anymore. :)

Probably because you didn\'t unzip it to the exact folder that you installed PS to, or because you didn\'t told the zip program to overwrite the target files.
You need \"c:\\Program Files\\Planeshift Crystal Blue\", not just \"c:\\Program Files\"
