The idea is to live, anyway dying and having to take the long journey back to place of death is a real bore and waste of time.

/spawn should not be removed until the sticky areas in DR has been eliminated. Often I end up stuck when I attempt to move once I have spawned in DR.

That\'s where the new /unstick command is for. Use that instead of /spawn

Once they put the final spit and polish on \'/unstick\' it\'ll become the standard way of removing yourself from cracks in the Death realm and keeping yourself from being  an Enkidukai-shaped chandelier, anyone who used \'/spawn\' legitimately should have no problems with this.

As for why anyone would die, well once \'/spawn\' is removed 733t d00ds and such might consider the, effectively penalty-less, death system a quick way to get to hydlaa spawn. If thats where you want to go theres no reason not to... unless you\'re a roleplayer, in which case you would realize that most sane people don\'t have what it takes to let themselves be torn up just because wandering through the death realm is the fastest way back.

(Edit: I just realised its not clear whos idea on the death realm you liked, also there seems to be afew posts before mine that i haven\'t read and I honestly don\'t know how I missed them...
Edit 2: Just read the posts over and they seem to be presenting some of the ideas that went into my first post.  strange, I could *sware* my brain was online...)

Nice to know that you like the idea on Death realm quests, but once you assert that the Death realm is going to be a complete place (and i believe they did) then the rest becomes fairly obvious, I just put it in pixels.

As for young players dieing often, last I heard PS is being designed with an eye on roleplayers, so I imagine that killing innocent creatures won\'t always be the only way to advance, perhaps not even the best way.
I also imagine that the same way stats and skills are given according to your character creation choices so will starting equipment, eventually.

This is just my understanding of it though.

The DR will when it\'s \"ready\" be really really HUGE and the standard laws of nature won\'t apply to much.

You might for example find yourself walking straight forward, but really walking in a cricle and such.
The real punishment is thought of being to find the way out, it\'s easy now because it\'s a VERY small part of the DR

I dont think it will stay with one spawn point in DR.IMHO if you die you will appear somewhere in the deathrealm so that you dont know where you start. People living in the DR would know where they are and would learn which areas have what distortions.

I also read the plan is that people in the DR dont die but only get unconscius.  Therefore i think the citizen of the DR wont be dropped somewhere like the spawning visiter but always close to the place of their break down.

I would like for the DR to be a whole other world, maby the same size or even bigger than the real world.

And Like most RPG\'s you go there when you die in the real world or in the DR, (I\'ll explain more about that later) you would have to pay the death god/godess or most your items that are not equipped or that are not in some kind of safe keeping bag or something would stay in your body and of corse could be looted(more on that later)(there would be a limit on how many items you could fit in the safe keeping thing, or a limit on the weight).

You could also get into the DR and get out by paying some transportation god/goddess but you wont be able to get out using her/him if you died to get in ether one, because how I imagine it you wont be like fully there, only your sole would. So you will need to pay another god/the transportation god/a wizard to get you body returned to you. Only then will you be able to get out using the transportation god/dess.

Ofcorse there would be other ways to get out but you will need to get you body returned to you first.

After you died in the real world and got your body returned to in the DR you can also die there to get back but then you would lose even more items, but then you would be back in the normal world so could just walk up to your body and enter it.

As I said earlier  exactly the same would be implemented in the real world (so if you lived in the DR you will have to get your body returned to you and everything in the real world).

When you get your body returned to you and could stay and live and do your things in both worlds (The way I see it is that both worlds are equals expet that one is evil). (The real world would be like a DR for the people that normally lived in the DR)

And that concludes my theory, now to spell check and read it through about 20 times....

Sorry if I repeated some things a couple of times or bad wording, I am not very good at explaning by point.
