Yesterday, when I played I was very busy trying to get some money to buy a pickaxe (yes I been at it for 3 days already), I had rats that appeared and disappeared constantly than the usual rats of the two prevous days.

Is this a bug or are they actually phase rats.

Probably lag.

When the server provides the correct location for the rat to you, your client will make it \'jump\' to that location. Usually the rat has changed location based on your client programs prediction.

Yep see that alot due to 1s lag that I have, but when the rats disappear for more than 30 s at a time, it surely can\'t be lag while other characters also running about looking for these disappearing rats.

I\'ve had the same problem... along with rats teleporting into the ceiling, and such.

Well, I have even seen rats which walked around the ceiling...
They must have some glue on their feet or somethin...

hmmm seems like the \"unstoppable\" rats that walk throught the floor and just won\'t stop walking untill they get teleported to their spawn and become unattackable during that spawn
