MAC Updater and not correct version for server

I\'ve found that the MAC updater isn\'t working, downloads the registry and then sits.

I was using the game fine until I tried to log on just before, it said I didn\'t have the right version for that server, but I couldn\'t change the server.  

Anyone know how to fix either problem?

same problem here (on Windows)  the updater downloads itself, but don\'t update itself.
It also uncompressed the new files, but don\'t replaced the files

same problem here. Everything fine yesterday, but when i tried to log on this morning it also said not the correct version for this server. and the updater does\'nt do anything either. I left it for an hour but no message it was finished?? Something wich takes 10 seconds to download should\'nt take an hour to update??

anyone got a clue?

I finally managed to unzip the only file that it downloads through the updater, its called \"repository.xml\", but that doesnt do anything either, I managed to open it with Stuffit Standard 8.0.2 by dragging the zip file onto the icon.

But still no joy in logging in

i had a problem where it says \"Updating in the background\" i had to copy all the files in updatertemp to the planeshift directory

The only thing that is downloaded by the updater is the registry. I find no updatertemp on my disk. Pressing update only downloads the repos.zip again. Unzipping it does not affect the updaters inability to update. Might be a question of where to drop it. For you who has successfully updated in the past, can you do a find PlaneShift\\ 3D -name repository.xml and see where this file is supposed to go on the mac edition?

I already said it on the mac os x package threat :

i could use the updater with dfyer tip : launching it from the terminal
cd /Applications/PlaneShift\\ 3D/;./updater.app/Contents/MacOS/updater  (if the planeshift 3D directory is in application directory)

but take  care, i had MANY major bugs when I did it, and lost all my key-configs, shortcuts, ...
So make a save copy of the file before trying anything !! and it is not even sure it will give you the good version.....



N.B : I tried updating but the game server is down now so I can check if it changed something


the developpers must be working on it by now, lets just be patient !

Gilibran its just a crazy problem with the updater be patient the Devs are working on it

Yea its because the stupid updater isnt public release and they havnt debuged it because they rushed it

Uuhhh Nimfis, that was 10 days ago. I got that fixed already. Today is a new problem

As of right now the whole system is hosed.  Best to wait a bit.

Three things:
#1: You can\'t play now even if you do get the game updated as the client version is still incorrect for the server.
#2: If you really want to update the game, you can grab my updater from the \"Mac OS Package!\" thread (page 9/10) or the \"For Latest Updater Crashes\" thread (page 3).
#3: This conversation is very similar to one currently taking place in the \"Mac OS Package!\" thread and the \"For Latest Updater Crashes\" thread so please keep all posts relating to this topic in those two threads instead of spreading them out all over the forum (I hate clutter ).
