Yeah same problem here.

I started the updater through the terminal commmand and the updater worked but after update nothing worked.  I put all this on the mac forum but i guess it might help to post here too.  I made a new copy of the Planeshift folder before the update, transferred all the stuff one by one to find that the vfs.cfg after update stopped the psclient and the updater to not start at all.  And also the new updater application does not work either.  So I put everything in the new folder except fo the vfs.cfg adn the updater application.  Used the updater to update again and the updater stopped working again.  But I tried the psclient and it started up fine, but it still says my current version does not match the servers.  Hope this information helps fix the problem.  Otherwise I dont\' have a clue what to do from here.

its not just you mac guys, some of us linux people have it too, but thats because i used the linux installer.. but i dont feel like installing the CVS, so i\'ll wait... and give the devs some time they have lives outside of making PS you know :P
I am just a figment of you imagination and a byproduct of the worse accident ever... ... or so my mommy says!

yeah i know but i\'ve looked at there code in the data files and frankly
(no offense you guys do great) but i know some mistakes and some easier ways to do it and twice as fast i would join the team but sadly i don\'t meet the requirements. but have tons of experience in game deveolpment i currently own a medium size indie game company and were making and mmorpg. and that whole 18 thing i don\'t like i know more guys not 18 with 4 or more  years of experience with C++ xml python and list continues so its more on age then skill but i know they are work hard its hard making an mmorpg and for free really makes it hard. but theres a thing that i have experienced is customers demand and sometimes you gotta rush and answer and fix their porblems and the bugs but, its a free game so ifeveryone left then they didn\'t lose anything. honestly i don\'t know why i typed all this again i mean not to offend any one on the DEV team keep up the good work.

I\'m guessin we jsut have to wait for a proper update for mac.  It doesn\'t look like there\'s a way to fix it for us players right now.  If anyone gets any farther though we\'d all appreciate it.

Keep up the good work DEVs.  I really like the idea of the game.  But I\'ve only been able to play for one day.  You guys are doing a great job.
