Will the accounts we now have be kept when Planeshift becomes a real MMORPG game?

I dun see why not. But i would probably guess that the log in menu will change a bit, and you will MOST likely be able to create more than ONE character per acount. I always like to option of having another character, if you get bored of your old one.

Until official ?Beta? we will probably not make much of an effort to keep character when we make changes.

Many of the changes may be profound and not worth figuring good ways of changing.

Once Beta versions are up we will be more concerned with figuring how to implement change while maintaining character stability.

I know most of you don?t want to change your names and such or lose characters?Hell I hate doing it?but at this time there are way too many things that will change.

I hope our accounts will be reset, because I want another charachter with the same name, don\'t like my current one.

Most likely the accounts will be reset for a few reasons.

 

• A lot of people are creating \"test\" accounts to try out the other races so we want to be rid of those
• Sometimes people create multiple accounts without realizing it
• There is nothing really stored yet except name/race so nothing is lost
• It is much easier (ie faster) to setup a new database then to try and port to a new one.
