defensive stance == 0 damage

well i don\'t know if you can call it a bug or not...

if you fight in defensive stance you don\'t seem to get any damage... ever...

whatever monster i fight their attacks are always:
you dodge it, or
they miss, or
your armor protects you...

i don\'t think i\'m that strong because if i fight in normal stance i don\'t last a 20sec with a trepor (for example)


is it a bug?

Actually, There is this gobbler on your way down to the rats that gets through my defensive stance in a big way. He can kill me in six rounds, while a normal one can\'t do that much damage to me, even while I fight using the bloody stance.

I have seen several people idling close by, probably thinking \'bah, just a gobbler, no problem\' and getting killed rather fast. Even people with impressive looking equipment (assumingly not a newbie like me).

I believe it depends heavily on your stats

a mate of mine set his char up as fighter and his most efficient stance in full defence, pretty much for this very reason - he rarely gets any damage and slowly chops away at the monster.

my char, on the other hand, is effective only in bloody attack mode - monsters hit me regardless of my stance, but the faster I do damage to them the better the chances of a victory!
