Character Creation Bug - please help

I\'ve just downloaded, and fully updated Plane Shift, I have a registered account, and run a fast connection on a computer that should be able to run this program easily.

I enter my Email address and password for my account, then enter the Knaax server.

That takes me to a screen where there is a quit button, 4 slots of which the top one says \"Create new character\". But at the top it says \"waiting on server data\". I retried leaving it there for 20 minutes or more, and I can\'t click on the create new character. It just stays like that forever. It\'s really frustrating... please help asap. (Greatly appreciated)

Sounds like a lockup of the game.
Try running the game with the parameter \"--console\" and copy/paste the last output from the console in here.
Maybe that will give you or someone else a clue.

EDIT: Please don\'t post ANY problem or bug report more than once over all the PlaneShift forum. It won\'t get you any help any faster, but it makes keeping these forums clean so much harder. thx :)

What do you mean by locked up? The game doesn\'t freeze, there\'s even a clicking sound from the game itself when I click on \'create new character\'. And where am I supposed to edit this program and \'run the game with the parameter \"--console\"\' ?

Another Note:

I just ran the program, and the same thing happened, so I closed it. Then I reran the program again straight away and when I tried to connect to knaax it said \"User already logged in, if you were disconnected please wait 30 seconds\". Does that mean I am connected to the server? I see my ping and all in the main screen. It just.. doesn\'t do anything on character creation.... could it be my account?

As soon as you log on with your account and password your are marked to be \"online\", although you are not visible in the game world yet. The latter part will not happen before you select a character.
I understand your problem but I\'m afraid I don\'t have a solution for it. I assume you ran the updater recently?
