A - Depends on where you live. A person in north america always notes chinese servers are slow, and vice versa. :)

B - Your computer specs influence it.

C - Your internet connection type does too.

D - The game is very large, it may take half an hour to several hours to get.

You can also download through BitTorrent which should give a pretty big speed boost

Omg! Almost an hour for only 200 MB? That\'s barely 60 kB/s! Call 911!
A lot of people don\'t even have that much speed. Ever tried downloading with a 14.4 modem? 60kB/s is a Ferrari, I tell you...

Sorry but I couldn\'t keep this one back... ;)

Honestly dude, that isn\'t all that slow. I now happen to be blessed by the Intarweb gods with a 3 Mb/s DSL connection, but I remember back in the dark ages when I was stuck with 56k, and believe me, you have not experienced total, utter, ritualistic-suicide-inducing slowness until you have tried to download a 500MB file off Kazaa with AOL dialup.

Took me about 20 minutes at 200kbps. I suggest you get something like freshdownload, that boosted my download speed from 60 to 200 which is awesome since now when I download something I can just sit and watch the bar tick along instead of going off and doing something else.

Actually, half an hour for 200mb is more like 120-130KB/s :) But nonetheless, that should be just fine. I mean, if people can\'t wait those 30 minutes it takes for them to download the game, I doubt they even have the patience to play it, or wait for more updates... :)

me too, but mine took about 10 minutes to download, pretty small file to download considering other things, i remember i downloaded the wish beta demo in about 45 minutes, all for nothing...

i average 500kbps on many things... and i can never go back to 4.2kbps... i havent had a point-something in a long time :P

7mb? as in 7 mega byte or 7 mega bit?  The fastest ive ever seen was 2.2 MB/sec on my cousins computer, which was a few years ago... on that you could download PS in a cool 1 min 40 secs.. heh heh.

220MB/7MBs=33 seconds... but i doubt the PS servers gave you 7MBs, maybe the number was in megaBITS not megaBYTES:
7 megabits is .875 megabytes

that seems a bit mroe reasonable but still fast for the servers, unless you used bittorrent then its still a lil fast...

i have a 3 megaBYTE internet connection... and i downloaded it at an average of 200 kilobytes per second....

see all cleared up...
