Crash on /admin
« on: January 26, 2005, 11:50:47 am »
Everytime I use the command /admin (which I used for \"testing\" purpose, since I wanted to know better what exactly it does and how does it work) the client crashes.

The /admin command is used by Game Masters to activate their GM functions(It is what it says in the guide, though it may be a bit hard to understand the wording), it has no real use for normal players, but it is a known problem that the client crashes if you do the /admin command but the account does not have GM privileges.

In the player guide the command admin is indicated with level 0 (for everybody, then, I assume).

By the way, I was thinking a GM was having all the time the powers active.. it is not like that?

Yes, it has to be a level 0 command, as it is this command itself that restores one to ones GM level. It is not ment to crash your client of course, my guess is that that the client fails to check for an invalid value or something...
