Planeshift unexpectedly quits

When I click the file to play PlaneShift it goes on the loading screen and about 5 seconds later it quits and this pops up:

The application psclient has unexpectedly quit.
The system and other applications have not been affected.

I do not know what to do so any help would be appreciated.

BTW I use an eMac.

I don\'t use eMac so I don\'t know how to help you, but the only thing I can tell you is that maybe there is some similar thread already discussed in the forum.
You might want to check it out.

clien unexpectedly quits during startup to log in

when i start up the game window quits. and then it says ps client unexpectedly quits.  it does the same thing to my updater.  If i am lucky i get to the log in. I log in then an error says that i dont have right version.  Please can someone help  me or can the staff help me.  Is these problems with the mac servers down or a computer problem.

Most of the crashing is sound related. Turn of you\'r sound in pssetup.

You have to wait. From what I know a Mac version of the code hasn\'t been yet release, a version that is compatible with PS server.

About the crash, you might have it because of the sound or because you have old CS code and a file called flame01.tga in /art/effects. Check these out!

i have that flame file, but what do i do with it.  ALso i dont know how to turn off my sound. One guy said to go to ps setup, i did all it did was going to the login screen and it didnt work plz help.  will i need to clean my hard drive to fix this.

No don\'t clean your HD. Run Setup. And delete that \"flame01.tga\".

i deleted the file but i cant play do to i cant start the update without quiting on me.  My dad says it might have to do with the computer but i am not sure.  their is also a flame number 2 do i delete that to.  I just know that i cant start playing without updating.  My computer meets all the recommended requriements.  thanks for everybody who helped me.

I dont know why i cant start playing when i start updating or start loading to the login screen the client or update unexpectedly quits.

Can I ask you to see what there is written in the console just before it quits/crashes?
There might be some information about why it has such behaviour.

i just found out that this problem is a bug in the game.  so i have to wait for a version without problems. unless someone knows how to play without waiting. thanks for all the people who helped.
