Censorship bug?
« on: January 30, 2005, 08:58:27 pm »
I don\'t know if this is some new problem in this release, as I\'ve just started playing today.

When I write something in a message window, no matter if it\'s help channel, talking to NPC or any other, words like \"you\" \"too\" \"your\" get replaced with $@! as if it was a banned word.

Needless to say, it makes talking to anyone, especially NPC\'s impossible!

The same happens for my outgoing messages and messages incoming to my window (including system ones, saying \"$@!r advisor ...\" and so on).

What\'s more, my writings sometimes mysteriously get prefixed with word \"fear\". Instead of \"hello\" for instance, I get \"fearhello\".
Must look pretty dumb for others to view :-P

And of course, my client (Windows XP version) is fully updated.

I knew there where problems with packets being messed up. So person A would say something to person B, person C would get a message and person B not. But this is even weirder.
We're not evil. We're simply amazing.

Try to imagine my chat with an advisor :D

- Why are words like \"$@!\" banned? Is that some kind of bug?
- I don\'t know what word you mean, because it was banned :)

And so on.

1/4th of my words where cut out, so that chat included lots of repeating and lots of typing w i d e  s p a c e d  :/

my friend had the same problem, only every time he writes something it would start with fear and then whatever he writes next.

ye thats a problem , a quick bypass is to turn off chat filter in and out, tht helps a bit, but only if both people have it off.
