after updating the updater programm it can\'t be restart to update the client.

the programm crashed everytime i try to start it.

My updater crashes, too, but I will wait some time before I reinstall the game, hoping there will be another solution, like a fixed updater available for download.

kuragon I thing you have to reinstall because the updater you have now is the problem and with a crshed updater you cant get a running one downloaded.

So you have to reinstall when the error is fixed.

Reinstalling is not a good idea, I started a while ago, and it will be a while till I\'m back up to date.. hopefully there will be a simpler way to get a working updater soon

I doubt it, if the updater cannot even run to the point where it fetches the registry for new files, it can\'t possibly fix itself.  Reinstalling isn\'t THAT bad, I mean so you wait for 15 minute are so.

Don\'t worry, the GMs won\'t abandon us...they will come up with a fix soon.

but it\'s no good to have 100\'s of people redownloading 100\'s of megs just to fix one file when they could put a download on the website of a better installer... that\'s what I think they\'ll do at this point.

After reinstalling it still had the bug for me.

I just reinstalled the game, and so far the updater is working.  Ill post again if I actually get through everything.  Its downloading files right now, whole 1% done

If you reinstall and update before they fix it, of course it\'ll still be bugged.

Yeah, well I reinstalled it as well...updated it, and program crashed(not updater).   I opened the updater and the bug was back...im not so sure what is causing it now.

Talad posted a fix, in the other forums.  Its not working for me, but who knows it might work for you.  Im just gonna reinstall...
