What is your favorite book? Mine is the LotR series, I have been reading the series yearly since I was six, and I still like them, I have now read every other work of tolkien, and all of his sons stuff too (tolkiens posthumouse(sp?) work) I like to read... lots...
Warning: Prone to common sense.

I don\'t have one favorite book, more that I like authors.

William Gibson is probably my favorite author.  Neuromancer was a masterpiece.  Almost read all his stuff, just need to finish his new one.

Neal Stephenson.  I started reading him because Venge suggested I do.  Good author.  Snow Crash and the Diamond Age were both great.

R.A. Salvatore.  I didn\'t actually start reading Salvatore until two months ago.  I enjoy his books a lot as well.  So far I have read the Icewind Dale Trilogy, the Dark Elf Trilogy, Legacy of the Drow Quatrilogy (? o.O), the first three books of the Paths of Darkness Quatrilogy (? O.o), and am reading the Clerical Quintet now.

And of course Tolkien.  I think if I had to pick a favorite book Silmarillion would definently be high up on the list.

Silmarillion is on the all time top 10 list, (i cant beleive that some people complain about it being to hard to understand)

Salvatore is good... alot of D&D players i know dont like him but take his word with a grain of salt and he\'s good...
Legacy of the Drow .... drop the quartology or whatever you wrote....

Terry goodkind, terry brooks, good authors and about a hundred others that i forget the names of

im sick of the wheel of time.... was after the second book, the writing style gets me down and its been dragged out WAY to long

The Sword of Truth serise by Terry Goodkind.  If I hadn\'t just lost my job I was going to buy his latest book Chainfire (it hit the shelves today).

*hits the shelves today --- Once the bookstores open that is.

i don\'t have a specific favourite book, more that i have several favourite authors, and i tend to prefer books in a series.

Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind.

Belgariad series and Mallorean series, plus the prequel (has two books for different perspectives, Belgarath The Sorcerer is the first, and other is Polgara The Sorceress) by David Eddings.

Elenium series and Tamuli series by David Eddings

The Redemption of Althalus by David Eddings (a standalone)

NOTE: The books by david eddings were written with the assistance of his wife Leigh.. she listened to his ideas, offered suggestions etc.

The Artefacts of Power series by Maggie Furey

LOTR series by J.R.R Tolkein.

and, i am almost ashamed to say.. the Harry Potter series by J K Rowling

Maybe this will spark your interest.....

2. Rainmaker

[Murray/Harris/Dickinson]

When I was wandering in the desert
And was searching for the truth
I heard a choir of angels calling out my name
I had the feeling that my life would never be the same again
I turned my face towards the barren sun

And I know of the pain that you feel the same as me
And I dream of the rain as it falls upon the leaves
And the cracks in our lives like the cracks upon the ground
They are sealed and are now washed away

[Chorus:]
You tell me we can start the rain
You tell me that we all can change
You tell me we can find something to wash the tears away
You tell me we can start the rain
You tell me that we all can change
You tell me we can find something to wash the tears.....

And I know of the pain that you feel the same as me
And I dream of the rain as it falls upon the leaves
And the cracks in the ground like the cracks are in our lives
They are sealed and now far away

[Repeat chorus, 3rd verse]
O RLY!?
