Well lets just call that one good and stop insulting americas poor reporting skills and change the topic slighty.

Do you believe that with macs designing should make it more capable of handling games due to its wonderful Movie and photo and graphic programs?

Well... I was merely hoping for the Planeshift community to compile the server sources to Win32 compatible binaries... there must be someone out there that just love to wade through megabytes of lovely c++ code... :-)

Well, the developers sorta do.. But if you can\'t compile the server yourself, you need to get the exact version of the MySQL version the server was compiled for, install it, configure it, import the Databases, set it up furthher, get NPCclient running (also compiling and against the database) THEN you can start playing.

It\'s quite easy if you have done it before

well i am american so i get bludgeoned to death with our crappy news :P anyway...

yes mac does have a natural affinity for graphics.. i am very suprised its not used for games. They dont seem to have many upgrades but pehaps if somebody made some games and went out on a limb it wouldn\'t be such a par/subpar system.

Now you can install linux on your bird feeder or even your spatula if you like.. and i find that awsome.. but as i have stated, the hardware is like a four leaf clover, in that it must be guarded by lechpirchauns as i have never found any good linux/windows compatible hardware XD so i think linux is the gaming wave of the future once it gets more popular and people finaly make hardware for it specificly

Most(all?) of Blizzard\'s games are mac-compatible now...but that\'s just one company.

Ooh, the image. 8o I don\'t think your cat will be very happy if you try. :D

Hmm.....not sure - if there were issues, they seem to have gotten them worked out for WOW.

There\'s a couple other good older games for the mac, although they aren\'t MMO. I enjoyed EV Nova for a while - it\'s a space game with good, random storylines with a couple hundred different branches(about 6 or so major storylines that you\'d actually want to play). Also has lots of modding capability, and once you beat it you can install one of their mods to convert it into the predecessor EV games.

That is true it also happened with D2.  What would happen is on the slower CPU\'s the refresh screen would never refresh if a game you were joining was  doing something.  Also on D2 their was an issue on low CPUs where you could not exit the game.  As you can see, the problem is constant.

I\'ve got an old Redhat (Linux) Disk which I use to install on computers people give me...  I\'ve never had an issue with hardware detection in old 400 Mhz or less boxes... perhaps you could try installing on an old junker...

One point of note... if you can\'t handle text mode... the GUI isn\'t gonna help much
