Drehadaxa the dwarven warriors with nothing to loose or gain. There tradition goes back ages. It was Hardrada the brave who was the first Drehadaxa. A fearsome warrior he was. A legend among dwarves everywhere he went he was praised for his bravoury and battle prowes.
Sad is his story of how he became the first Drehadaxa. It was ages before the dwarven race reached Yliakum.
When the dwarves were numerous and strong and ruled vast portions of the land in a time long forgotten. A time before Laanx and Talad, a time before the great escape trough the Stone labyrinth.
It was in those days a power rose wich treathened all people a race of beings cruel and harsh as was later discovered, growing in numbers the other races could not keep up with the Mendrogo. At first they were greeted friendly and tought by the ancient races. But after some generations they turned against the people who had lovingly accepeted them and tought them the wonders of life. They united against them and started a war for domination as they saw themselves as superior. After great battles and countless sacrifices the races of the time before Laanx and Talad gave up. They fled the wrath of these ungreatfull beings wich they so lovingly had accepeted and tought the ways of the world. The old races fled deep into the earth to find the world of lore the world of peace that they knew from ancient tales The crystal world. The dwarves stubborn as they were refused to follow them and held ground against the thread of this new race.
They were succesfull for some years in defying them and driving back the Mendrogo. The dwarves covered the retreat of the ancient races as they fled from there ancient homelands. The dwarves were helped by the diaboli elite warriors known as the Grhuul. Elite units of the Dermoria were a welcome help also in the battles to ensure a safe retreat.
It was in one of these battles one of the most biggest and most ferosious ever fought Hardrada became engulfed by the bloodfury. many a Mendrogo met his faith that day under Hardrada?s axe. But blinded by the bloodfury Hardrada could not see the difference between enemy and friends any longer. In this state of bloodfury he crashed into a unit of young inexpierenced dwarves slaying them to the last. He finaly became overwhelmed with complete exhaust and collapsed to the ground.
When he woke after the battle he heard what had happened. A shadow fell over Hardrada that moment. His eyes lost all life in them. He left without a word filled with guilt and disgrace. From that that day on now one new where he was, but whenever there was a battle he showed up throwing himself into the midst of battle to cleanse himself of the dicgrace the bloodfurie had brought on him. With no regard to his life he fought the Mendrogo and in time they began to fear him. Hearing his name made them scared and frightened them to go to battle.
Among the ancient races he thus became known as the Drehadaxa, the living dead.
Many a dwarf joined the ranks of the Drehadaxa those days, when they had failed in battle to protect there kin or their allies. They became the most notorious and most respected warriors of those dark days. Litle did they care. They looked for redemption and they looked for it in death. They excepted the most dangerous and perilous tasks not expecting to return.
In the year?s that followed in wich the ancient races were slowly but surely driven back by the Mendrogo the Drehadaxa took their place in countless stories of heroism and sacrifice. Little do the Drehadaxa care. A dwarf who joins the ranks of the Drehadaxa is lost he seeks redemption for whatever disgrace has befallen upon him. Over the years it has become accepted for a dwarf to join the Drehadaxe for a time. A time in wich he has to cleanse himself of the disgrace he brought upon himself in anyway he can. This usually ends in cleansing by death. Very few live to become members of society again cleansed from disgrace and dishonour.
This is the story of the Drehadaxa
Drehadaxa Gilibran
The Drehadaxa guild ,
Membership is open only to dwarves and in rare occasions to Diaboli and Dermorian?s. This as they go along way back as you can read in the Drehadaxa history.
To become a member either for life or temporarely the Drehadaxa to be must give an extensive Why and How he came to the decision to join the ranks of the living dead. So No, he kicked my ass and now i wanna get back on him that?s not even enough to even have the word Drehadaxa spring to mind. Allignment is taken into considaration only when the Elder Counsil decides wether the reason is good enough to join the ranks of the Drehadaxa. After that it means nothing.
A member of the Drehadaxa can count on the guild to help him restore his honour and cleanse them from the disgrace wich made them join their ranks.
This help means the Drehadaxa can use the guilds knowledge and resources as they grow over time and contribute his own so others may benefit from it to find redemption. Whenever a Drehadaxa feels he has been cleansed and found redemption for his disgrace he will have to plea to the Elder Counsil who will judge if he is ready to reclaim his position among the living and return to society a redeemed person.
There are no ranks among the Drehadaxa except for the Elder Counsil who act like a guide for it?s members.
Members have to ask the Counsil whenever they feel they need help to cleanse themselves. Wether it be weapons or knowledge and the Counsil will be the judge of what help is given and how.
It can happen that one of the Drehadaxa fails to live up to his oath to redeem himself. If that happens the person will be banned by the Counsil and he will become a Fragrath for the rest of his life. His very excisitence denied by any Drehadaxa or former Drehadaxa.
When a Drehadaxa has redeemed himself and before he returns among the living he has to make a life long oath to help any Drehadaxa he encounters however and wherever he can it\'s his duty.
Think very carefully before you join the ranks you will not be invited to join, you have to have a very good reason to join them.
For now there aren?t many resources yet, but every bit of knowledge we have (well actually that i have since i?m the only memeber so far) will be your?s if it helps you to redeem yourselve.
Now for the most important thing, During the membership of the Drehadaxa the member can not and shall not do anything else then find redemption. He is free in the way he achieves it but again it must not be taken lightely. There will be no room to settle or do something else for a while whatsoever. All his actions have to lead to redemption.
