Something like that? By the way it HASE to be like that.

Ah, a player of a particular Java game that starts with \'R\'?

Thats just how it\'s made but is it not? And i only played runescape ones in my life and never again. So i would not know what your talking about?

[/QUOTE]If you ignore the heatsource (coal or charcoal) only iron ore to iron is correct. For bronze you dont use the ores, but the metals as pure as you can get them. It may be possible to make bronze direct from the ores, but the bronze would be polluted with side products from the ores.
Steel is made by oxygenating the carbon in the iron.

The bronze is right? and the iron. And for the steel well who cares if i\'m wrong. I\'m just trying to give what i think it could be like. See how i said (could) and not (should). Now pls stop with your flaming.

I don\'t see anyone flaming you here, Soulless. If you\'re going to post ideas here you\'ll have to be mature and accept that people will have different opinions.

hmm ya\'ll may be right.. though i have dabbled in it i\'m no metalurgist :/ (gonna study it once my coding skill is good though :D )

Yes i forgot about steel and carbon there needs to be a \"indgrediant slider\" where you pick how much of each property to put int \"IE. doesn\'t more carbon after a point make steel brittle?\" so that way you could make your weapons properties different from another smiths.. or if you know nothing on smithing totaly screw uo your weapons? (as i real life it takes time to learn the right mixtures and you will fail miserably a few {many XD} times)

actually later on in the \"timeline\" a more popular(and over all better) method of making steel was to increase airflow across the metal (thus oxygenating the carbon molecules quicker) this was one of the \"technological miracles\" that led to the massive industrial boom in the 1900\'s (as well as what made carnegie such a rich man)

sorry had to pull out the history :P

Smelting

Seeing as this is a thread on smelting, I was wondering if smelting has been disabled from the game at the moment?

Thanks in advance

I will be getting into this again pretty soon.  Hopefully to go from iron to shield is not that far away.  I\'m trying my best but I hope it will be worth it.  The crafting system will be pretty cool I think.

I can see the furnace and can drop the ores but i cannot use it : \"you have nothing in mind\" ... but I trained blacksmith skill... and I have 12 gold ores...

So how could we use it ?

Harnquist, veja, jayose, durok, grotemeley\'s couple, the shop keepers\' couple (sorry I forget their name now...) havent the book.
Please report here where do you find or not find it... I think we should be able to find it together if it exists

Please, don\'t post it if you find it. This is like a big quest for a very hard to find object, don\'t ruin the fun of it by posting the answer.

Im not really ok with you. It\'s more annoying than a quest. We even dunno if this book really exist! and moreover the npc arent able to help you... it\'s really not reallistic:
Hey blacksmith where can I find blacksmith book
-> I cant understand you.
Heya. Tell me about smelting.
-> I know nothing about that.
-> lier!
-> I cant understand you

Jayose now:
hello
hello. Dont touch my books if you dont clean your hands before
(i wont give you the anwer I gave... it was about falka and the fact he would have my fist in the middle of his face if he keep on laugh at me... off course he didnt understood)
Tell me about book
-> be more precise
Tell me about blacksmithing book
-> You are saying non sense...
oh lord I hate the quest
-> I dont understand
I never though you would understand a word man you are so stupid sometimes...
-> I must have some dust in my ears...
i think so

In the reality people would advice you. If there are advices its funny if not its annoying, really amazingly boring... So I think finding this book is not a nice quest... and i think that some people has been adviced and try to keep the information for themselves... just the time to earn money buy selling weapons...

EDIT: in fact there is no book availlable for now...

Wow... okay, let\'s put some majorly skewed records straight.

There is no \"super duper big massive quest\" to find this book. It\'s simply a requirement for smithing. The book is called \"Working With Stock\" and you equip it to your Mind slot in your inventory when smelting Ores into blocks using a furnace.

Okay? Good. It\'s not public yet, so only GMs should have a copy of it.

Someone showed me an idgot or bar of steel she made as a tester.  It was worth 40 tria.  It you get one bar from one thing of ore, then it multiplies your profit by ten.

You can\'t carry as much iron ore as you can tefu teeth.

You can kill tefu as fast as you can mine iron.

It takes time to walk all the way to oja.

But, if you\'re not a fighter...
