While Downloading Files

I have been able to download the update for the updater but while the files are downloading it freezes at 52%:

file:art/world/magicshop.zip/cashe/thing_Im/6750e064ac34efab:

this is all of the file that i can see im not sure if there is more numbers at the end of it.

i run windows xp

corrupt file? or just my pc? i dunno...any help? i give you a pre-thanks

I just dont get it, call me stupid if u will, but why does this have to be so difficult?!?!?! I have deleted and reinstalled like 5 times so far and i am at a loss, i just hope that if i ever get this figured out that the game is worth it :L

The updater server seems to either be overloaded or otherwise unstable. I think it\'ll be fixed in one or two days.

Oh, and you can edit your posts.

Maybe you should find out if the game is worth it first? Maybe that\'s just my strange way of doing things.

PS is in Alpha stage development, and I mean heavy development. Things changing, breaking, fixing, being added, every day. Lots of bugs, and largely unbalanced as of yet. Everyone who wants to try this game should know this- you\'re becoming a tester, not a player of a fully-developed commercial game produced by a million-dollar company.

Anyone who plays PS and doesn\'t know this hasn\'t read a thing about the project, and its no wonder they leave fairly quickly.

Im just wondering if theres something im missing or not doing on my end of this, due to the fact that i havent seen any posts with the simular issue (perhaps i havent read every single thread, but pretty close)

Do you know what Pre-Alpha testing is then?
This is Open Beta on the Alpha stage, it\'s a certain difference

do you have the same problem with dl any other file\'s that are large?.
i had that problem with planeshift and anything else that was large. it turned out my internet provider sucked. i was using high speed cable and i switched back to adsl phone now i don\'t have the problem anymore. you might want to look into your upload download speed
