Ideas for Developer

Many people want to help and discuss topics for planeshift, but no one actualy knows on which part the developers work.

So I would like a forum where only developers can start a thread where they ask for some ideas and all people can post their ideas. It\'s important that only developers can start a thread because to keep track of all topics. And there should only be actual themes.

The wishlist is ok, but i think there are many discussions about things, which are finished for developing at the moment.

If the developers wanted ideas IRC would probably give a quicker response then a forum post.

At the moment it is probably more enjoyable for them to do what they feel like rather then needing to conform to the mass forum public which may or may not be a good thing.

Well, im not speaking for the Devs, but IRC as is, whenever teh Devs do decide to  drop the away status, they are swamped with questions as is.

Just as a suggestion, make a Petition about what your suggestion is all about. that seems to work =)

There might be not only a forum but a category named \"Development\"
and there particular forums:

Programming - General discussion about programming where developers who are concerned in client and server programming can talk with the people who would like to submit the patches, talk about functions, fixes etc. - all the code technical discussion.

Bug Reports - Where the players can submit bugs in game.

Suggestions and Wishlist - Where the people can submit and discuss with developers game systems improvements, wishes etc.

Visual Art - forum for map makers, 3d modellers, fan art, concept art etc.
Storylines - for storylines, quest developers and people who would like to contribute.

Sound and Music - for music makers.
[etc.]

Then some other sections like \"Community\", \"Offtopic\" etc.

It would make the communication between players and developers alot
more comfortable for both sides I think.
