What I had in mind is to draw a group of people who starts off from Yliakum into their own adventure looking for fame and fortune.
Well some fighting here and there exploring new places. And finally leads them to a place where their fate will change.

Well ya something like that.

Maybe you all have some better ideas? If the comic is going to stick very closely to the PS world......will the places and monsters have to be the same? If yes, can someone provide info on it cause I don\'t have those infos.

Thanks everyone here for the interest in this comic project. Maybe I will design out the cast of the story once everything is settle.

My advice:

Have a middle-feeling adventure, neither too dark nor too light, too serious or too comedic.

AND.

Every so many strips, break the fourth wall (even if its a seperate thing altogether), so there\'s some room to make fun of glitches and such in the game.

Essentially:

Strip 1: Alice and Gorbath meet in a tavern.

Strip 2:  Alice and Gorbath hunt rats together.

Strip 3:  Alice and Gorbath have a deep conversation about their beliefs.

Strip 4:  Alice and Gorbath remember the glue sea, and grumble at the teleporting rats, then fall off the world screaming \"Geronimo\".

Well, so you\'re going for a serious comic? Well, that\'s fine with me. TheRedMonks comment made me think of a sort of \"documentary\" that would follow actual development of PS (the program), including all the quirks and funny bugs as the characters would percieve them. But whatever it\'ll end up being, as long as it sticks to the setting it\'ll be OK. :)

Edit: Incenjucar just redundanised (;)) some of my post. :)

Is that good or bad? ;)

I think itd be cool to make an \"imaginary\" (or real your choice)
and then follow his/her adventures throughout the world of planeshift :

1)for example describe how many times she/he was challenged to a duel when they asked where the sewers were.

 2) or describe his/her elation upon first discovering the tavern and all the rpers there even a dwarf who jumps from table to table constantly (me :D )

3)her/his ardous first journey to ojevada and the hordes of trepors/ulbernauts/rogues they had to overcome to reach it

4)their first rat kill and the ensuing encounter with an uber rat of doom (glitched rat)

5) how they suddenly found themselves falling from   the face of the earth

6) the hours they spent exploring the beutiful countryside of planeshift

7) the time they tried to get on top of a random shelf and the various acrobatics required to do it

8 ) their first time experiencing the sight of the rats UNDER ojaveda 8o

ok so this ended up being a little more than a few examples but their ideas and theyre here so do what you will with them

regards

Would be funnier if it was funny if you see what I mean...
If you make an adventure comic, be sure to integrate humoristic features!

I liked Redmonk idea, mocking PS early stage of development from the inside. Like a group of player in front of monster, all arguing about the name of this beast and how to kill it to finally notice it\'s just a bugging tree ;)

There are so many bugs it\'s easy to find story with them ;)

How about instead of drawing frames, construct the comic by taking screenshots of players acting out the frames, and overlaying dialog balloons?

Maybe we should have themed screenshot and story competitions like they do in http://www.worldofwarcraft.com?

I just wish to comment on this: I think that breaking the fourth wall is bad. The chars should at no time be aware that they are chars in a comic strip.

Therefore, glitches and bugs should be only treated as they are percieved IC, like strange occurances that are unexplained (see this thread).

They should never ba talking about bugs and glitches.

Therefore, this woulsn\'t be breaking the fourth wall, as it\'s purely IC if done properly. However, \"Geronimo\" is, AFAICS, OOC, so this should be left out or replacerd.

@ The RedMonk: this is good. :)

I can assist in colour, or drawing, among other things.
Be sure to throw in a few actual planeshifters (famous & not-so-famous) for flavor.

Demarthl: I think some organization is needed atm.  You\'ve got a bunch of people willing to help, now you just need to find someone to officially organize it.  It was Xythe\'s idea so you might see if he wants to organize it.  If not, perhaps you should.  If you guys need I think ps-mc can set up a forum (open or closed, whichever you want) for planning and collaborating purposes (I think anyway, I\'ll check with josePhoenix).

Edit: Yep, I just checked with jose, if you guys need a forum for organization ps-mc can deliver.

sounds cool to me

World of warcraft has some rather funny comics, and if they are good, they get posted on the home page, maybe PS could do that?
