Can't loot rats!
« on: February 15, 2005, 12:15:45 am »
I\'ve a problem with looting beasts (rats, for they\'re the only beast I can slaught due to my miserable skills...)
Put simple, I can\'t pick anything that belong to them, neither skin nor eyes, even if I can open the \'looting window\'...
How can I do?
For if no loot no gold, no gold no skills and weapons, no skills and weapons only a bubblering and squishy rat to deal with.. so frustrating...

what are you doing in your attempts to loot the rats?  this may show where you are going wrong.

Right!

First, I kill the rat...
then I double click on it, or I select it, and go to the \'loot window\'
Till now everything works, but when I\'m supposed to select in the window the item I wish to loot, and press the loot button (guess it\'s the one in the right side, on the top), I get stuck and nothing really happens!!
HEEEEEELLLLPPPPP, that\'s the 35th rat I\'ve killed, I\'ve got 9 points to spend in some training but NO money at all, soo frustrating...
And by the way, just another question... When I log in, my char. doesn\'t have any progression points, and seems to be at level 1.
After been defeated (so easily, sob!) he regains whatever he had before loggin out, (and that\'s reeeally fine).
Why this?
Thanks for answers, I\'m thirsty of knowledge!

Luca:

In the Loot window, try clicking on the text name of the item, not on the icon. I\'ve found that (on my system, at least) clicks on the loot-item icon aren\'t recognized.

Also, I often find my xp & pp showing zero when I log in; they\'re always restored to the correct values as soon as I kill something :P  I\'m pretty sure this is a known bug.

Thanks Dave, i\'m going to give it a try!
But here is another question...
When I download the Client, I update it (of course)
And it works, but only the first time! If I try to load the updater again, suddendly it crashes and pops up the same damn xp message (oooo dear user, sooo sorry if our BEAUTIFUL sys isn\'t working very good yet, but send us a mail, and that will be YOUR contribution to OUR cause).
What could it be? I\'m forced to uninstall and then re-install everything if there\'s an update...
Best regards!

Hehe that also happens to me, the updater wont run two times unless I uninstall the whole game and reinstall it. And for the Proggression points bug, it aso happens to me certain times and if something damages you, you will recover VERY fast.
