Ok, what we needed more is a madman (err, sorry if you\'re a girl) that announces the Apocalypse :D

No one is leaving and no, the world is not falling apart :P

And put away those \"doom  is coming!\" banners :D

As many people are leaving as before, it just seems more people are posting about it in the forums. I left for a whole month and a half, and you didn\'t hear any goodbye threads from me. I think this whole goodbye thread thing should be banned, they serve no purpose except for pity and any goodbyes you want to make to good friends on planeshift can be done in private messenging. They have no place on the public forums whatsoever. :O

Kixie, don\'t tell me, and you\'re jealous? They had a \"good-bye\" thread, and you didn\'t :D
 Hmm, Good Bye :P

Krayn, did you at least know them? Anyway, this will be locked ...

Okaaaaay ...
Did you at least see my point? Hmm, I guess not. Anyway, stop replying, this has no sense, and we don\'t need a thread like this.

Goodbye threads do serve a purpose in some cases.  Such as Depthblade, he was the leader of a guild...his leaving will therefore affect the community.

Now I could agree on the other ones, but really, if you don\'t like them then just don\'t read.

Though, multiple goodbye threads from the same person...just ban the guy. ;)

He is indeed the leader of a guild, however this could have been posted on the official forums of his guild, and if he didnt have a forum, he is REQUIRED to have a guild website to be official. That website does have a purpose. My point is that official forums like this one have no need for goodbye threads bye anyone except developers admins and moderators. It doesn\'t hurt anyone to do it now, but given enough slack it could amount to a big problem.

People come, people go.  Heck, I showed up for about a month last year, on MB, stayed long enough to find, and then give away, some diamonds and other crystals, and went puf before fall, and showed up again just recently, all icognito and such.

Populations are fluid, particularly online.

Yea, people are in and out all the time.
I even posted a \"will be gone for a while\" thread at some point in the none to distant past: Mostly a play for some attention (which I never got. ;( )
Also, when I got here a bunch of the elder players left (or were leaving) and it all worked out ok. Some people just don\'t have what it takes to Evolve with the world...while others have more important things to do than play video games all day and still others...and others...well you get the point.
People are always coming and going.

I have to agree with Kixie that Depth could have announced his leaving (as far as it relates to game dynamics) in his own forums (which I am sure he did) and in the Guild Forum since that is what is being effected the most. However if he had done that I would never have seen it since I am currently under oath not to enter that forum.
:D

ps: that forum = {Guld Forum | Depth\'s Forums} Pick
