You should start reading all the threads, he did a in-character goodbye thread in the \"RolePlaying\" boards called \"The End\". He was just showing his out of character goodbye here which really there is no problem doing or atleast thats what I think. Besides he wasn\'t leading a guild before he left?

I am a boy

What bearing does that have on the rest of your statement?

Anyway who bets that by SB everyone will be back and there will be a ships load of \"Guess who\'s back?\"

Ok, people come, people go. This is a circle, that will never leave PlaneShift without members in here. It\'s inevitable.

And this kind of things were discussed many times before. Try reading this, and stop with useless replies please ...

 * EDIT *

Ok, that thread started from a relative different reason, but this kind of things were also answered in there.

perhaps they flee because they have excepted the fact that your world is soon to be mine....and you with it!

...and so it came to pass that the pestilent being, who once held in shadow the souls of countless worlds, was banished to the void and lost in the flow of eons.

Great, but you got only half of my point.  I realize he could have just posted it in his guild forum...and I\'m sure he probably did.  But a guild leader has duties outside of his guild, and it\'s only smart to notify those who might potentially contact him that he will not be available.

And it\'s a big waste of time trying to contact these people when you can just post it in an off-topic forum where it is well within the current rules (unless there are some more made-up rules that no one knows about).

Oh, and the rest of you, please shutup.  The thread will die when it dies...you are not moderators and therefore it is not your job to moderate these forums.

Keep your damn posts somewhat on topic.

hey, i used to play more than all of you put together....well not that much :P , but i used to play alot on a regular basis.

i would disapear for months and then comeback.

i would disapear due to school work ect...but im not going to make a thread saying \"ill be gone a while\"

there should be 1 thread about people comeing and going called the \"im going\" thread. hehe.

for instance, i have only played 5 mins of cb and never even seen a monster, but i have played hours and hours of mb.
in game name : davoid

Now I could agree on the other ones, but really, if you don\'t like them then just don\'t read.

Though, multiple goodbye threads from the same person...just ban the guy. ;)

He is indeed the leader of a guild, however this could have been posted on the official forums of his guild.

Bah, it should have been on the official PS Website. :)

People come and people go. I would say we are now in one of those \"dry spells\". I call it the \"Post-CB Planeshift Supporter Reduction.\" These things happen all the time... Don\'t worry, we will have a surge of newbs soon (tm).  :)

Cheers, Claps and raises Kiern\'s arms up in victory

Couldn\'t have said it better myself, but really I don\'t think people are disappearing or going...perhaps exploring other options or plotting other schemes :) Meh

Well these are the only 2 goodbye threads i have seen and they where pretty well known members so I guess its okay. I get more ticked off by the Im back threads by random people that where here over a year ago and had like 3 posts...

While I personaly did not know Kuiper that well I am glad Depth made his good by thread otherwise I might not have gotten to tell one of the first friends I made here good bye.

After all just think of the number of pms he would have had to make if he had done it that way.
