Just my opinion
« on: February 23, 2005, 12:08:57 am »
It is my opinion that PS is seriously biast toward\'s sword fighter\'s i admit i may not know every trainer but i think i may and sword can be trained to an emensly larger level than axe.
I belive this is unfair to axe player\'s granted i know we are still so early in develpoment and things will change just wanted other\'s opinions on the matter.

So first off am i correct that Axe can be trained to level 10 and no higher?

And secondly do you belive this is fair?

The game needs heavy balancing. It\'s on the todo list afaik. And if it isn\'t on the todo list then I\'ll bug every dev 4 times a day until it is.

Yes, that especially means you blueCommand  *poke* :P

No. The axe trainers in Hydlaa can\'t train you beyond level 10, presumably because they aren\'t qualified to do so. You need to explore a bit further afield to find a more-highly-qualified trainer. (My character is up to axe level 13, btw.)

If I am not mistaken, axe skill can be trained to level 50.

I always prefered swords to anything....:P...Although I do see a lot of people with swords, but they do not predominate, I don\'t think...not heavily at least...

magic will be balenced once they add more spells so imo there isnt really anyuse in balancing it in any other way. anyways the only way you could srgue axes are underbalanced is that there isnt an equivelent of the longsword but its really the skill ranks taht matter anyways so there really isnt a difference..

*Edit: i agree with the post below this one especially on how pp is a little too easy to get

Ya I guess there should be more spells. *turns to acriag*
Get working on magic already! Just kidding, you guys are doing great :)

Hmm, I think pp should be harder to get since people already have pp in the thousands.

Yeah, I believe everything should be harder to get, like in real life. It\'s much more fun to level up slowly, thus you appreciate every even smallest effort done day-by-day. Well of course only after there wont be any character wipe for sure :)

Taranchul, pp is easy to get if you\'re some sort of fighter.  As we\'ve noted, being a mage is  a rough rough life around here.  If you have to rely on \"freeze\" to get pp, it\'s a long, hard road.  I know this will be fixed later, but it\'s a bit frustrating right now.
