Skill in Combat
« on: February 24, 2005, 05:16:49 pm »
I have been playing the rat killing game for a little while now and I even trained in swords, but what is it that makes a charachter stronger in battle. Once I raise a sword lvl I will still be hurt by the enemies just as fast. Do I have to raise armor lvl to have attacks do less damage to me. I just don\'t understand in general how and what to train to make a character more effective and more powerful in battle.

Well sword skill is what determines how well you are with a sword (quite obvious, don\'t you think?). As you get better with a sword you will do more damage, and as for strength that makes you stronger (raise damage) and endurance is how much life you have and how much damage you can take (defence up), and you cannot train armour yet as it hasn?t come to the game yet... that should be the answer I guess

Ok, I think i get it. The sword skill is obvious with damage increase, same with strength. I did not know about the endurance part which makes sence now...do you have to train endurance like you train sword skill? Other than that thanks for clearing up my confusion. Eh, one more thing, do you have to train mining up to lvl one before you can mine because the message when i tried told me I dont have the skill to mine when i tried mining the gold ore by the magic shop, or is that just the message telling me i didnt get anything that try.

well to level up in endurance is quite different than with weapons, as you will need more PP 8 or so I think and it is more expensive... but you will need to find a trainer in Endurance yes, as for the mining thing, I think you will need to wait for another to answer that, as I have my own personal problems with mining atm.

As a matter of fact you can train your light armor skills.
at the moment light armor is the same as not wearing any armor. It is a really helpfull skill if you don\'t want to get hit that often, unless if you attack bloody it has not very much use but if you are a more defending fighter it works great. In any case it works good for me.
